He usually likes using a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1

Basically he's very flexible. He'll use a formation depending on the team's personnel.I actually wont be surprised if he continues with 3-5-2 too.
Interesting indeed. Not sure about the 3back. Coaches who use it tend to have a fetish for it, or dont do it at all. We'll see

oh well, its good we got a coach so fast, cause now we can get back into the mercato

Doesnt suggest anything. He has tried out various formations at Milan.Basically i dont believe he has a 'primary formation'
He does have a primary formation and that is 4-3-1-2 . Like you pointed out SB telling him which players should play so he had to change his formations and the results were to be seen .

Look it up he is known for 4-3-1-2 .

I would be for the 4-3-1-2.

Because :

a) i dont want him to waste time learning how to 3-5-2
b) we got the players for it.
c) we have winger talent, but still young, we could wait for winger switch when they are ready for it
d) its not difficult to go from that formation to a wing based formation

Let's look at the bright side. We can't possibly do any worse in europe. :boh:

4-3-1-2 with marchisio behind the strikers ? Crazy
actually thats the best option we have, and its not nearly bad

I forgot to mention he has used 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 for extended periods.Once again Berlusconi's fetish for 4-3-1-2 forced him to use that formation for a longer period. He initially wanted to use a 4-3-3/4-3-2-1.

But we'll see anyway.I hope he wont use the 4-3-1-2.Its ok for Serie A but a big drawback when it comes to Europe. We need genuine width and hopefully Marotta works towards it.
