Allegri: “We have to remember what we’ve done so far".

Conte: “We have to remember where we came from".

Big difference in mentality here.
Unfair comparison, because of reference to context. At that point in time, what Conte said was not entirely wrong. Allegris talking on the basis of the 4th title, and Conte is talking about coming back from the dead.

If Conte said that today, you could question his mentality. At that point, it was ok. I didn't agree with his way all the time, he was stubborn and had a huge fear of loss, which is the mental makeup of his spirit as a coach, but that's not the example I'd cite to point out the difference in mentality. Also, Allegri though is definitely the more European game inclined coach than Conte.

Alex I say this as someone who thinks that Allegri is definitely the more European game inclined coach than Conte.

Allegri has been talking like this the whole season.

Nice game, and look at the stats. Even in our best pre calicopoli days we would not have this much of possession against Real (of that era and this) while leading the game with one goal for an entire half. Kudos.

:agree:

Somehow, Allegri came up with tactics that let us hold possession and almost completely nullify their counterattacking ability. They had maybe 3 chances on the counter. 2 of them on silly giveaways by Pirlo. Brilliant tactics.
