why must there be a conte vs allegri?

I can never hate Conte, he was not the most likeable character as Coach, nor the best, but I remember far too clearly the pains post Calciopoli all of us had to endure. And for Conte to bring us back up (yes it was Conte, whether we like it or not, that injected that mental discipline) to winning three consecutive titles and to be where we are now, I will forever be grateful to him for that. Sure we sucked in Europe, but winning these Scudetti is a start, otherwise we would still be lurking mid table...

As for him leaving, it wasn't done in the best style and I personally (neither do any of us) know how this was discussed with the management. It might be a shock to us,it might be anticipated by our management, who knows? Whatever it is if Conte no longer found any motivation with this Juve team and wants to leave, it is his prerogative.

Allegri is more imaginative if you will, and it is refreshing to be playing in a new style after 3 years with Conte. I hope it translates well into our performance in Europe.

think the thing that makes me have an antipathy for conte is his mediatic persona , always complaining . Still remember the weekly "We come from seventh place" discussion and the comments after every mercato , "You can't dine with 10 euro in a 100 euro restaurant" . Rarely accepting any criticism , always being evasive when being pointed for being at fault by shifting the faults to other people (players , managment) and showing a general arrogance in his conferences , he has a giant EGO . When losing in europe always falling to the "We don't have the salaries to complete bla bla bla" . This together with the boring second and third year and the way he left doesn't leave me having any love for him .
this is for you badass

whats interesting here is that the media always had it in for him, to vilify him, and it looks like it worked on some here
I cant believe you can say this with a straight face.

He is no saint, and he has his serious ego problems. The very same problems that prevent him to be a better coach.

That kind of sums up my feelings but you were more cogent and concise than I could hope to be.

Pretty much my feelings on Conte as well, after the first season he got arrogant and when things didn't go his way he always had someone else to blame.

Like u said though I could never hate him and he will go down as one of Juve's greatest.

Waaay too soon for you guys to think he's better than Conte.

I guess some have short memories, Conte managed to turn a 7th placed team to a league winning team in his first season here (with few new additional players).

Conte managed to break the league record in the numbers of points last season plus he managed to win 3 league titles back to back which is another record !

I too hated the 3-5-2 formation and Conte's stubborness at times, but Conte IMO was the best manager we had ever since the days of Lippi. "When or IF" Alegri wins a title then and only then I'd compare him personally with Conte.
 I sincerely hope that Allegri gets us the CL.

I admit that conte did change us in our first season , he is one of the main reasons we won , the main one most probably , but not the only one . A great deal of new players which were key also helped . Pirlo, vidal, vucinic, lischt all bought on conte's first season . After the first season he fell into monotony and didn't change anything , the will to always run of the team and give it it's all faded away through time . He became tactically static with the 352 with unwillingess to change anything from formation to interpreters (little rotation , almost always the same people playing) . The second and third scudetto came as no surprise , we were clearly the best team in the league and as for the records , it's not just conte , it's a merit of all the players in the field and also the current state of serie a .

When Juve lost to genoa allegri blamed the pitch... whats your point? All managers have egos and a stubborness to them allegri will be no different when the system is eventually sussed out and he doesnt change it
