I think last season points is a good metric. hard to think of an example where the coach stayed the same and the team suddenly performed 20 points better, usually the improvement is between 10-15 points even with very strong mercato's.

last season Allegri underperformed massively. if he collects 72 points again this season, he will have underperformed massively once more.

But our target is 76 points for this year.

We should be finishing over 80 points with this squad imo. Those talking about 90+ pts with our midfield (lol) and attacking depth (bigger lol, especially creatively) are delusional. If we manage to pull 90+, that would be the best coached league season of the Jihadist’s career.

Barring long term injuries to the few stars we have, 80+ pts should be the minimum standard acceptable. Chiesa goes down and this team has zero attacking creativity and drive to replace him and this season will be a midtable disaster imo.

Another trophy-less season and he should absolutely be fired. No excuses anymore.
Even if we win the scudetto he shouldn't get an automatic renewal. Any half decent manager could win this serie a with these players and without champions league games on top.

How he does next season is the real test imo*. That'll be three years into this cycle proper, with a full plate and full backing of the management.

*putting to one side that he's already had a test and fucked it. He's obviously being given more time for 10 million annual reasons

For me his future shouldn’t be decided with winning the Scudetto or Coppa (although the Scudetto with this team would me a miraculous achievement, hard to send him away then tbh).

I just want to see progress. Progress in both players and game play. Not another year of stagnation and boring games.

If he’s able to change the tide and prove that there’s still some 2017 Allegri inside of him im mature enough to ignore the last two seasons, of which the last one was a very particular one of course. If not I’m happy to say goodbye.

According to La Repubblica via JuventusNews24, Allegri handpicked Magnanelli who now has the green light to work almost autonomously.

The Juventus manager shares a better relationship with his new collaborator compared to his rapport with Paolo Bianco who recently left the club.

The former Cagliari player was a choice that the management made to improve the quality of play. However, his ideas were swiftly put aside by Allegri, as the source explains.

Nevertheless, Magnanelli’s excellent work thus far has further flourished his relationship with the manager.

Moreover, the former Sassuolo captain is even playing an instrumental role in restoring Allegri’s rapport with Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic.

The two stars haven’t been impressed with the coach’s tactical approach. Although they haven’t become Allegri’s staunchest supporters overnight, but al least their relationship with the manager has improved, with Magnanelli acting as the link between the two parties.

After the Udinese match, Chiesa himself revealed the importance of the newest member of the coaching staff.

The Bianconeri are aspiring to adopt a more compelling style of play, and Magnanelli has been the main catalyst in this particular quest.
