i wouldn't call players like vucinic or quagliarella absolute hacks

also, when tevez arrived, we couldn't make it out of a relatively easy cl group, that was absolutely inexcusable

i get your conte nostalgia somehow, the unbeaten season was indeed magical and i'd give away any of our current players to have that discipline and grinta now, but our international record (and performances) were much worse than that team's potential

How can it be common knowledge? We only had what the fraud said himself, no other sources as far as I know.

Conte created a team, starting with absolute bullshit players. He made them play well, he got other bullshit players and got them playing well too and they are now looked back at as top class players in retrospect. Thats what an actual coach does.

With Allegri at the helm, our squad got completely devaluated to the point we are at now. Those are the facts. Whether you want to contribute it all to the Seccos, Paraticis, Badass or Marotta, thats your own speculation.

I used to get so mad at Vucinic because out of all the jabroni strikers we had at the time he was the closest to almost being good enough for Juve.

But just like the others (Matri, Giovinco, Borriello and Quags) he could never be consistent. They would have their moments, nothing more. So frustrating.

Conte made the 10 euro comment then Max took them to the final. More proof the coach matters alot.

Now Max is washed up and it's someone else's turn to show that we don't have 11 terrible players.

Van Persie went for 20M to ManU, it was doable for sure. Berbatov the same year was another option. 2010 Dzeko instead of Krasic. Then Higuain before he went to Napoli in 2013 (maybe had we passed the groups, we'd have have enough for him?)

I think Vucinic was fine as a SS those 2 seasons before Tevez came, what we lacked was a top CF. We only had that for one season, Higuain in 2016/17

We hoped Llorente would make the step up, but he was benched by a young Morata, who also failed to make that final jump to proper world class

Yes, Llorente I think was affected by the one year off as well. I think had we gotten him a year earlier, he'd have adjusted much better, he was in great form in 2012. We let him go immediately after a down year, and years later he was still playing well as a rotation striker. In hindsight, we should have kept him, especially since we replaced him with Zaza

Morata was balling late in the 15/16 season, then he left to Real sadly where he also had a great year coming off the bench. Possibly his best years. I wish we have gotten to see that 16/17 season with him and Pogba

But yeah we tried with a couple of those but neither worked out. I think Dzeko in 2010 and Higuain in 2013 were our best shots. Both relatively young and proven enough to be starters for years

Why are we talking about transfers from over a decade ago?
