Shit game from both sides. Low quality football. We at least created few goalscoring chances so we won deservedly. Fiorentina had none. His subs are off like so many times this season. We lack cohesion, our play is hectic. Its just a scrappy football overall, reminiscent of Zacheronni, Del Neri times. Need to do far better with this group.

The most hilarious thing about the Fagioli and youth drama is that we’re sitting at 12th in the table. Chances are those 15 points are not coming back, plus we might be docked even more points. There matches are basically meaningless at this point and we’ll most likely finish mid table. Yet, despite all of this, the manager still doesn’t trust Fagioli or any of the other youngsters. Just imagine if we were actually competing for something. That 5 year plan is spot on.

But… “still love Max though”
We really need someone in the midfield is able to distribute the ball, to let Di Maria ,Chiesa or Vlahovic play the ball facing opponent’s goal. Unfortunately, Rabiot totally can’t do this. Locatelli and Kostic isn’t good at it. Plus lose it or backpass Seglio. It is no way play fluency.

The offside rule needs to be more flexible. If you havent scored with part of the body that was offside, the goal should stand. Find some solutions so the teams arent robbed of goals because players didnt cut their hair or shaved their beard.

According to Law 11 of the Laws of the Game, the offside line is drawn at the goalscoring body part of the second-last defender closest to the goal line. If the ball is closer to the goal line than the second-last defender, then the part of the ball closest to the goal line defines the offside line.

I like that suggestion, it seems a fair way to benefit the attacker more and allow them to play on the shoulder.

It is a difficult rule to fix. We complain about millimetres but how can you change it? You need a reference point to measure to (last goalscoring part of a defender) and something to compare to (furthest forward part of the attacker). It is harsh when you get calls like this but I suppose it is fair because it avoids it being subjective. If it was changed to having daylight between the defender and attacker, or allow 1cm allowance it just opens it up to refs having to make decisions which leads to more controversy.

Or consider entire body of defender, including his hands and only goalscoring part of the body of attacker. Football is afterall played for goals so attackers should get some advantage in the end.
