It will take time to clean up the mess and if he makes top 4 again I have no problem with keeping him for another season.
I agree completely and might as well keep him till the end of the year. After that I don't think Max is the coach we should rebuild with unless club's performance changes drastically by end of year. Will take time and stopgaps like Paredes, ADM, etc won't do it. Max appears to be in control of player selections and doesn't fancy giving youngsters time.

It was a harsh defeat, no doubt, but sacking him right now would lead us nowhere.
No decent coach would pick us up in the middle of the season with the problems we're having. And like it or not Allegri did bring us to a provisional 2nd place leading into this match.
He is not the root of the problem. The root of the problem was that we sacked him in the first place and bought Ronaldo, Rabiot, Ramsey on super high wages. It will take time to clean up the mess and if he makes top 4 again I have no problem with keeping him for another season.

isn't it funny the throaters say the players are bad average but the coach got a bunch of super players for his team?

2 wc winners
1 wc finalist
1 defender of the year last season
1 young striker of the year in 2020/2021
1 europa league assist man of the season
one chiesa best italy wide player
2 promisisng and hungry youngsters in mirretti and fagioli

but the football played is serie b level. how, how is this possible? how is it possible to have so many good players, and not use them to thier potential.

how do you have an aggressive attacking player like chiesa and di maria and ask them to play like this?

The squad thing was always about defending Allegri. At least we are to the point now where it’s so bad that even the bad squad excuse doesn’t work anymore. Obviously we have one of the top two or three best squads in the league. We also have a better squad than the side we just got raped by.

Wait a minute, do you rate Chiesa now?

It's very clear he must go at the end of the season. This loss will have absolutely destroyed the morale of a pretty fragile squad so we will have to see how we bounce back.
Unless we go on a big run of victories to the end of the season I'd agree.

Given everything that has gone on over the past few years and possibly coming up, some stability would do us good. But results and performances have to improve dramatically which looks unlikely.

My concern is how we react to the defeat. Looking at our fixture list (Atalanta, Fiorentina, Salernitana away) I could easily see us dropping points and spiralling like the start of the season.

... You simply cant defend going back to players like Mckennie when you have Fagioli and Miretti available.....
Big "told you so" moment!
All of us, that are clear that allegri is biggest fraud in football, where stating that he plays youngsters only because of the injuries of his pets. Throaters where praising him and his "expertise" to introduce young players and change climate in the team.

Nope, it’s him thinking he reinvented football after keeping a few zero’s and a winning streak.
I prefer not to over-analyse every detail and action when things are bad, it becomes an obsession. We don't do that when things are good, fans just accept the good times and roll with it.

The result and our performances this season are more than enough for valid criticism. I know people have a lot of frustration and it spills over into every aspect but sometimes it's better to take a step back, gets unhealthy otherwise.

I already listened to is pre match and thought it was a strange thing to say. They compared him to Spalletti for the record.

I don’t think it’s in his best interests to run his mouth like that, if anything it makes him look like a fool even more after yesterday, even if it was ment funny or not.

Tbh often I do see saying things that don’t make sense as a good indication if coaches starting to lose it or not. Might not be in this specific case as it wasn’t a football related answer, but their words do count.
