It was not boring. More like shaky and uninspiring. Against better teams, performances like today can easily lead to draws or defeats. So obviously there's a concern here.

Besides Spezia are Serie B level. You're expected to win games like these comfortably even with a shit team.
This. I'm not sure why some see this as an unreasonable takeaway from the last few matches.

Unfortunately this team is lacking in too many areas to compete.

Starting eleven
GK - new signing Perin sub
RB - new signing cuads as a sub
CB - Bremer Bonnuci sub
CB - new singing Danilo sub
LB - new signing new signing sub
DM - paredes Rovella sub
Cm - Pogba/Rabiot this year /new signing next year sub
CM - Miretti /Locatelli sub
AMR - Di Maria / Cuads sub
AML - Chiesa/Kostic sub
ST - DV7/Milik sub

The rest should be shipped to the north pole, the sooner the better, except Fagiolli, who hasn't played a game yet and Gatti as a 5th CB.

Still hasn't done anything yet to change my mind. Spezia were allowed way too much possession tonight and we didn't not create as many chances as we should
We created good amount of chances tonight and stonewall penalty was denied on Cuadrado. Possession is meaningless. People should move on from this fixation. Perin barely had to stretch.

Agreed, except for the good amount of chances imo. We didn't have many major chances apart from a header on a corner kick and the Danilo miskick. We were awful but at this point; winning is all that matters. Hopefully we'll be counting on Paredes, Pogba & Chiesa soon. That will change the whole team.

Just a reminder. Beating a top4 team in Seria A this season should be seen as a overachivement not a norm with this current crop of players.
Just like last year I doubt we are going to scrape one of those.

Tons of misplaced passes all around, but cannot fault the gameplan.

Lack of another ball playing defender in the absence of Bonucci, a LB and a more direct winger will be our main problems this year. Hopefully some of it gets addressed in January

You can't fault Kean on the wing? How many times this should be tried?
