In Allegri We Trust

I was looking for a place to vent, but it looks like you guys are on the same page. I haven't really watched full matches since Ronaldo joined or at least that's when the decline started. Anyway I was always critical of Allegri which got me banned from a facebook group because the admins chose to see it as overly negative. Even back then everyone seemed to focus on the result instead of looking at anything that happened on the field.

Allegri rode Conte's energy and the rising economical power of the club which gave him one of the best teams in Europe. There was never any tactics or specific movement when he was the coach. It's give it to Pirlo, give it to Dybala, give it to Ronaldo and let's see what happens. Players like Marchisio, Mandzukic and Cuadrado bail him out again and again with moving positions and putting in the work. With this team, it's no longer possible just to sit back and wait for the post match interview.

He always made excuses and it was tiring even before he came back. He destroys talented players by restricting them. Players like Cuadrado and Alex Sandro always took on defenders when they arrived, but slowly and surely they began to stop and pass back. You can literally see players wasting away under his tactics. I say this because a lot of Juve fans like to pick apart the squad, but even lowly teams can play good football and achieve things.

It looks like this year won't be any different and my advice is not to expect any different until we get a new manager.
When I see posts like these, I find it very hard not to support Max... History revisionism at its finest. Cant u just accept he did incredible work in his 1st spell but hes failing badly during his 2nd stint? Its not mutually exclusive, u dont need to take a shit on everything he has done before to make your argument stronger. Its enough to look at the past year... yeah, we are doing really poor, for whatever reason, its also huge part of the blame on him and his stubborness which wasnt the case before, when he would try different approach and find solutions.

Nah it wasn't that impeccable... Remember the home game against Bayern in 2016? It was in 2016, so it was between the 2 CL finals, in other words it was in the so called EuroMax era of brilliance, or so they said...

But the signs of his cluelessness was already displayed in that single game, where Bayern's CBs at that match could step into our own half freely passing the ball to their team mates... We couldn't pass the ball properly throughout the match and looking clueless...

Yes it was against guradiola's Bayern... But that should never excuse our own team cluelessness playing at our own home...

But also it wasn't just that game against a guradiola's team, in the next few seasons we would have similar matches in Europe where we looked clueless, or not even in Europe but also in Italy, there were matches like those, many fans lauded those kind of games as defensive master classes by the team and Allegri but in reality we were just clueless at going forward and forced to sit back hanging on the ropes...

That's where the overall trajectory of the club performances aligned with the kind of players that we got, so yeah it's not 100% Allegri's fault... Going from mvpp midfielders to Pjanic Khedira Mandzukic quads to what we have in the last few years... But the thing is, post Cardiff, Allegri's main weakness got exposed more and more to the point of where we at today.

Allegri's coaching style has no attacking curriculum in it.

Why do you think he got a melt down against journalists back then? Because somewhere deep down he himself knew that.

It got to the point where even random foreign tv commentators were laughing at his in matches tactics and coaching decisions...

All because somehow after all those years spent as a top coach, he's still unable to formulate any kind of proper attacking curriculum for his players... So naturally he prefers to defend leads no matter what players we have and against what team we face...

Last season coppa final was just another demonstration of that weakness and mentality.

Dear Maxx,

Please start Rovella as regista and Locatelli and Miretti/ Fagioli as the mezzalas.

Your 4-3-3 strategy doesn't work with Zakaria and Rabiot as the mezzalas. Regista is also not Locatelli's strongest role. This is especially necessary when Chiesa and Di Maria are out so your wingers are Kostic and Cuadrado

Thanks

Crazy how everyone is pinning their hopes on a couple of kids. Face it guys, if we can't play well with the experienced players we won't play well with two noobs. Not the right team nor the right environment for youngsters to thrive. They'll be crushed under the pressure.

This is not a guarantee. Have you never out-performed older coworkers at your job?

It's possible, doesn't mean it's likely.

Too much expectation and hopes pinned on them in a completely dysfunctional team. Throwing them straight into the fire all of a sudden out of desperation would be unfair to them. Thats a recipe to crush their confidence.

You don't put an entry level inexperienced employee on stage in a board meeting for a reason. Unless they're the new Steve Jobs and these guys aren't that

Let me put it this way. If Rovella and miretti are our only hope, then we are already screwed. These are youngsters that we should integrate into an already functional team over time, like we did with Pogba back in the day.

Allegri is correct on this one

But I wouldn't exactly consider a match against Sampdoria as on stage in a board meeting, such matches are where these players should be starting to begin with in order to prove themselves.

It looks like we won't have a functional team for a while, we shouldn't cast these promising players aside just because we cannot bring them up in a 100% optimal environment.

This guy is earning 9mln so I don't give a single shit what has he done before if this is his best right now. Totall failure. I will pick long washed up Mourinho over this fruad every day of the week.

He can't even admit his shortcomings for God sake . The guy was calling for a huge improvements at the end of last season and look where we are right now.

The sooner we get rid of him the better might be our chances of saving the season.

Yep, it's win the league or out this season. Obviously we need to see how this season develops, but were paying 9mil for a manager who already had a full year of honing tactics and three full transfer windows to build the squad he wants. If the results do not improve, it's time to cut losses and accept that time has blown past him.

I agree. I meant not to do it against roma when the pressure is clearly super high. Later on in the season I expect to see them play more especially against the likes of Sampdoria but it's only natural that this will be gradual. Samp was game 2 and he brought them in from the bench. Rabiot transfer saga aside, most coaches would have done the same I.e. start with more senior players and use the new youngsters as backup.

Honestly we should have played better against samp without needing them that's the part where Allegri messed up and deserves criticism.

We are only one left back short to be a powerhouse now.

I see the group of ball ticklers are slowly coming out. They were stuffed like Christmas turkeys the whole weekend, hiding, and now they are trying to change the narrative again. Pathetic.
