I guess we can say now that without very good to world class midfielders and attackers there is no way we see proactive football with Allegri.
He tried against merda and Villarreal at home and we failed miserable, showing that we don't have the players for that kind of style.
But then again, we don't see any patterns of style in the attacking phase. Just some go out there and do your thing which also looks dreadful.
At least we won which is nice.

Imagine being mad at a coach for not playing attractive football when you're given players like Arthur, Rabiot, Dybala and Sandro to try that with :lol:

Let’s take a balanced view….

The good;
CL qualification basically sealed
3 points
Good mentality after conceding
A win despite having a boat load of injuries
Many players on the pitch that don’t deserve to wear the shirt that will hopefully be gone next season

The bad;
Worrying attitude after conceding
Still no sign of attacking cohesion
Many players on the pitch that don’t deserve to wear the shirt
Unable to dictate the tempo at home against the worst team in the league

With Berna starting in attack I didnt expect much attacking cohesion. Vlahovic is going through poor run of form and Morata is well Morata, inconsistent player. Dybala has mentally checked out. Zakharia is an ok player, Rabiot looks better in recent weeks but that doesnt say much. Hes barely good enough atm. Miretti has potential, Pellegrini also seem to be an ok player. Too many good enough players for my liking, for a team that strives for excellency. No one steps up. We should do better than this but current group lacks grit and talent to control and kill the game.

We lack players with that dog mentality. We used to have that throughout the team, Tevez, Mandzukic upfront, Vidal, Marchisio in midfield or Lichsteiner/Chiellini in defense.

Now we’re stuck with softies in all phases. The quality have regressed, but the mentality too which might be as important if not more.
