Some people really have a short memory. His first years at Juve, we played some of the best football in decades for Juve. But we had quality all around.
That's before the mind fuck in Cardiff, those few minutes of slip up sent him on his journey to find the perfect balance. Contes version of chasing that perfect squad assembly probably still has flashbacks of quag matri combining.

We helped Max recover from gol did muntari but this one unfortunately seems deep rooted and reset didn't help one bit even worse has turned him into second coming of capello.

Too much Sarriboyz here recently, avoid thread at all costs.
Sarri was awful for everyone but 2 players
Dybala - Had an MVP season with him
Bentancur - He had an amazing season under him

His gameplay was too prone to mistakes.

Pirlo fixed some of his mistakes but opened others like predictability.

Then came Allegri - He seemed to fix some problems on the expense of others.

IF and thats a big if! IF we change coach we need to go forward to one who can fix our team without creating new problems rather than go for someone like Sarri who would make this whole nightmare all over again.

Above all we need someone who can burn the determination aspect in their skins so they dont stop playing after going up/do it smartly.
The Torino embarassment was just waiting to happen and for no damn reason as we can control Torino and if we cant its the coach`s fault.

Allegri was sacked (!) because he played some dinosaur football with some of the finest squads around in Europe in 18-19. Why do ppl some expect him to play some fast moving tiki-take football with the current shit squad we have?

Can't learn an old dog new tricks.

If I understand correctly some of the Allegri apologies here:
You could give Allegri the players like Mandragora, Lukic, Vojvoda, Singo, Pobega and hi would make them run riots over our players managed by someone like Juric.
When in a thousand years will this happen?

what? I said all year I’d be fine with allowing Pirlo to at least begin coaching another season as long as he got us into top 4. I even said the same of Sarri after we won scudetto. Pirlo especially though, had a better goal differential (scored more and conceded less), had us perform better in cups than Sarri. The biggest difference that had Sarri at 83 pts and Pirlo at 78 pts, was he had a worse midfield and lacked experience in coaching the close, gritty wins. We drew too many games under him. We didn’t grind out the tight wins. All the same I was fine with a second season to see if he could grow further with experience.

The reason both were sacked is that we got worse and worse as the season progressed under them, culminating in very poor finishes. The difference this year is we had an appallingly bad start but have been a solid top 4 team since those first 4 matches. We’ve fixed our porous defence of the past three years and now we need to fix our attack. If we miss top 4 and show no further signs of attacking improvement by season’s end, as I said earlier, I’d be fine with us moving on from Max. I don’t think we shall, but I’d be fine with it. I want to see improvement throughout the season during this transition phase.
Are we improving now after winter transfer window close? Between now and season end, and next season i believe that Allegri will be our coach for this project. I hope the best for him to success so Juventus will also be succesful.

But apart against Verona, it seems we arent improving. Vlahovic expected to be answer for our underperformed attacking and goal conversion, but in Allegri tactics he played far from opponent's goal. Zakaria expected to be key for Locatelli roaming forward but so far it still not yet happening.

Torino came from 2 defeat before against us (Udinese and Venezia). Atalanta also in poor form lost against Cagliari, Fiorentina. But yet we failed to beat them and only get our goal from corner. As a fans, i hope we can played better, control games, score goals

From defence aspect our highlights mostly look like a video of "defending bloopers"

-0:45 disorganized headless chickens which is basic shit I mean get it right Max
-4:25, why is cuadrado and the rest giving up so much space backing off?
Second that pass should never get to Mandragora..

You can also see everyone so compact inside our box instead of being spread and marking/covering open sureoundings?
why do our players backpedal and get so deep and right outside or even inside our 18 line before making any sort of serious challenge/effort?
Wtf is the point We hope to give up penalties or defend with our feet tied up?
I don't remember any worthy Juve team allow opponents to set foot in our box, now Allegri has put out a red carpet inviting them in..

It is not about the WC players Napoli and Milan have, its about squad building.

Milan and Napoli have teams built coherently, players fit each other and the coach.

Everyone knows that Spalletti plays a 4231, and Napoli's squad is perfect for a 4231. Remove Anguissa for Zakaria, or Fabian for Locatelli, or Osimhen for Vlahovic, and it will work and these players will shine. There is an environment that will allow players to come in and succeed in defined roles. This is also why Lozano had such a difficult time, he didn't fit Napoli tactically. Adaptation took a long time then.

it's the same at Milan and Pioli has a couple of years head start of coaching this team.

Is our best setup a 433 or a 352? Or a 442, 4231, 4312... who knows. None of the actually fit because we have players that don't fit. We have 4 CFs, 1 LW, 2 RW, and until recently 3 midfielders that play the same role (Locatelli, Rabiot, Bentancur), etc.

Its the same problem Roma has. They switch formations every month. Mourinho has played variations of the 4231 his whole career yet at Roma he is trying all sorts of weird stuff because his players dont fit.

A player like Rabiot, Arthur, Kulusevski, Bentancur, Morata can fit a well functioning team and succeed. But they can't all be there together and play at the level we want.
Thats why Im hoping we sell Dybala whos neither here nor there in literally any potential formation, settle on whether we play 433 or 4231 or whatever and proceed to equip the team accordingly. No more dumbass hybrids.

@MikeM you're right, but you're making the assumption that we can do this with our players. Firstly, our most successful period is when we had excellent wing backs and a midfield where all the players could tackle effectively. Let's say our current midfield press but get turned, our back line is much weaker and we concede many chances. Our trio up top are 2x target men and an SS so immediately their defense is not great. If it were Vlahovic with Chiesa and Bernardeschi, at least you know they could easily slot back and defend and the Chelsea game was the perfect example of that.

Now, for the sake of attacking we do get exposed more and that's exactly what happened with Sarri. We were more attacking but conceded a lot. I'm not saying Allegri is faultless but his concept of balance is really important and why his love for Bernardeschi is valid because even though the guy can barely create anything, his defensive traits are so important.
But you assume that defending deep has no risks either. Because when we defend deep we are relying on Bonucci to put in challenges, in which he does not. We are relying on Alex Sandro to NOT pass directly to the opponent or to foul them, of which he cannot resist. We are relying on him to mark Belotti in which he can't.

Then, most importantly, we are relying on Rabiot to bring the ball out of our 18 yard box, all the way into the opponent's half? It's impossible. It will never happen.

Especially nowadays when we cannot even get respect from Venezia.

Also, I'd argue that Bonucci is fine with a high line as we saw with Sarri and Mancini. He plays well when the midfielders press the opponents into mistakes and he can use his anticipation to intercept, and I've always said this. Chiellini at this point has to play deep.

Max is still coaching with that 2017 mentality in 2022. I love the dude, but I fail to see how he has evolved. We're playing drab, slow and predictable football. We're almost always reactionary and rarely, if ever, are we proactive and aggressive in our approach. We don't take the initiative and we don't press. Yes, I do realize some of this has to do with the players we have, but the coach cannot be be absolved of all blame. His insistence on playing Fagiot, Sandro and Kean is ridiculous at times. His subs and comments after the Torino game were Del Neriesque. You have a big squad for a reason. Trust some of these other players instead of trying the same shit over and over again and hoping the outcome is somehow different.

Imagine having Salah instead of Dybala. Would be amazing tbh.

It won't make a difference when Allegri asks him to go and pick up the ball 30 metres away from goal. That's why Klopp and Tuchel are a level above Max.
Pls. Dybala does that anyway. No matter how his position looks like on the tactic sheet. He's always playing the same position anyway.

Taschentuchel a level above Max.

The shit you get to read.
