With Vlahovic and Zakaria added he now surely has a better squad than Pirlo did. What are your minimum expectations for the 2nd half of the season? Whats failure?
expectations are to make top 4

Bonus would be making a deep run in CL but without Chiesa, it’s nearly impossible

A lot of damage has already been done. It would disingenuous to expect us to win Serie A. Top 4 is acceptable with a decent run in the CL.

our best 2 players last year were Ronaldo and Chiesa. This year we have neither.

I wouldn’t call this team stronger than what we had last year but it’s stronger than the first half of the season. Although Chiesa is a huge huge loss for us and replacing him isn’t possible

To play like man city and failure will be if we can't beat villareal in the champions League.
At a minimum I expect free flowing Pep meets Klopp, tiki-taka meets gegenpress, 6 goals/match footie. Zero losses or draws until end of season so we finish on 87 points. Dominate everyone and smash PSG or ManCity in CL final 8-0. No big deal.

Securing top 4 with relative ease (taking matters into our own hands and not waiting for gifts from the likes of Faraoni), quarter final in CL and maybe more depending on the opposition (no shame in losing to Liverpool or City..etc) and Coppa Italia would be a nice bonus nothing more.

Failure: Not making top 4 or losing to Villareal.

True the damage is done. But with these signings on top of what we already have, it'd be nothing short of shameful if the likes of Milan, Napoli, Atlanta, etc.. finish above us.

Anything less than 2nd place would be a horrible failure

Lol horrible failure. We’d literally have to win every single match to finish with 87 pts. If we go 13-1-1 in our last 15 matches and finish 3rd or 4th with 82 pts, it’s a horrible failure? Talk about dumb

It’s entirely irrelevant where we finish between 2nd and 4th. Top 4 and getting through to CL QFs for the first time since Allegri was last here is what matters.

I’m intrigued what system we now use considering the outgoing players. We’ve lost Chiesa to a long term injury and Kulu to a madman at Spurs intent on destroying a football club.

We don’t really have any wide options now with Cuadrado and Berna being the only players on the squad that can play on the wing, also don’t see any trust being put on the younger players so I wonder if we’re going to see a change to a more narrow system or a 4-3-3 with Morata, Dybala & Vlahovic trident.

Would be nice if we pulled off a last minute deal for a winger to give us a few more options because I’m still seeing a lack of balance in this squad. Vlahovic hasn’t solved everything

With Chiesa out and Kulu sold because he’s been awful for a year now, I don’t know if we have enough wide players to double up on the wings for 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, or 4-3-3. Depends on Bernie’s form, if Aké is worth giving minutes to, if Mckennie could transition into being useful as a wide midfielder, and if Morty/Kean could play wide and contribute. A lot of ifs.

Would be curious to see 3-5-2 with Mckennie-Zakarias-Locatelli mid and Dybala-Vlahovic front pairing. Cuadrado/Danilo RWB, and MDS/Sandro LWB. 4-3-1-2 is another option with Dybala behind two strikers, but seems defensively quite problematic.

Whether we kept Kulu or not, with Sandro getting more and more washed up by the month, our left side is incredibly weak in the attacking phase with Chiesa out. MdS and Bernie can offer moments, but both are far too inconsistent going forward. It’s a real weakness and problem for this team and there doesn’t seem to be an easy solution.

People already drooling over the fact that Allegri has no excuses now. :sergio:
Think of supporting the team for once, instead of your pathetic agenda.
Not really. You blame the team.. you know the actual players on the pitch and the bench. And you absolve the management.

I assign more of the blame to the management both Allegri and his bosses especially mr super league.

only expectation in juventus is scudetto. also making the team play most humiliating, pathetic football ever seen is a legitimate reason to not let him stay for second half of the season.
