It's crazy to think that if management would have handled our assets differently that our backline could have been Cancelo - Romero - De Ligt - Spinazzola
Thats a fucking sick defense. With that you dont need an attack. Allegri could field all his Rabiots and Bentancurs in midfield and it would still be hard to contain.

Both Cancelo and Spina are horrific defenders, especially in a system where you don't have majority of the possession all the time.

Romero is Demiral 2.0, or Demiral is Romero 2.0. Overly aggressive, picks up cards for fun, immature.

Defense we have now is much better, we just need a mid or two to help them in both phases

"what we have now is much better, they just need 2 players extra on the field to support their asses".

When you play with players like Cancelo and Spina (when leg not broken), then the opposition puts on 2 extra players to mark them.

Quite a statement, I’d love to have all 3 of them. Let’s not forget we’d have Chiellini, Sandro, De Ligt, Bonucci and Cuadrado aswel.

We lost Spina for Pellegrini, made a minusvalenza for Romero and we made a fair deal for Cancelo. With 3 interesting players (4 with Demiral) we got the bare minimum.

People still rating that fuckwit Cancelo? :lol2:
Saying that after a night with 3 assists and hitting the post as a left/right back. Can play left, right and in attack. Only fools wouldnt want a player with his abilities and athleticism. Would have made us less dependent on Cuadrado to do the exact same. But its ok, we dont have to agree on this.

That back line would need prime Makelele, Essien and Mascherano in front of them.

Sure, that's why Cancelo can't get Kyle Walker out of the lineup so has to play on the left and Spina is hospitalized all the time.

Only fools? Only fools would want a fullback with his shit defending and shit attitude. To each their own I guess. :boh:

Romero and Spina as rotation options I don't mind. Don't want Cancelo if he was free.

Romero is not better than anyone we have now and he wouldn't stay here and Spina as good as he is at his best (Sandro is better at his best IMO however rare that is) is a defensive liability and injured all the time.

And don't forget we made those deals in part to finance MDL

Last part is true, good point.

Anyway I think everyone here agrees that we’d love to have a few of those 3 still in our roster, sadly we highly underachieved managing those transfers.

Imagine if Raiola starts pressing for a De Ligt sell. We’d have a really big problem.
