This experiment was fun and all, now please give us a real coach. Bring back EuroMaxx
Don't think he would be able to fix your problems, you have a poor squad in many positions - especially midfield.

Pirlo might be out of his depth but this is a board issue for not reinforcing your squad properly. Your midfield is full of scrubs and average players, not much a manager can do with those.

You had one of the best midfields 5-6 years ago don't know why it's been neglected that much.

While I agree the board has gradually reduced the quality of our midfield and it is now a weakness, I don't think you can underestimate the impact that a good coach can have.

Look at the midfield Liverpool had when they won the CL.

Last night Allegri's pragmatism would have won us the game. Barcelona suffering crushing defeat over the weekend, trying to build identity under new coach, their morale and overall atmosphere around the club would have worked in our favor. Allegri's Milan, far worse side than ours, outplayed far stronger Barca side in 2013. He made players like Niang look like genuine superstars. We didnt have a single shot on target against worst Barcelona in ages. Im still hoping Pirlo pulls it through and invents something brilliant but if by December we will still look utterly hopeless, chaotic, disorganized, Id like us to bring this dude back. Max has also himself to blame, he got sacked after suffering a meltdown and started openly questioning quality of his squad, bickered through and with the media. After 2 years, dust have settled though ;)

All in all should be a lesson to anyone who underestimates the importance of a coach, the putrid shit of football we have been subjected to over the last 2 seasons. Style over substance. We pass the ball endlessly and aimlessly around, with very little penetration into the box.

I agree but Allegri is known to play to the squad strength and in a way hide the weaknesses. I trust him to get the team going, it might take time but he will eventually.

For that to happen, Tici and Nedved will have to swallow their pride.
Also add CR7 and Dybala to this list because they weren’t too happy with Allegri either.
small sacrifices for Allegri. Totally being serious, Ronaldo’s demands would be worth it in his 20s but he’s a soon to be retiree. And Dybala is a mental midget.

Allegri > *
