I doubt as well and hope they wont hire him because he would make them a winning team again. Concerning his style of football, it is somewhat exaggerated of how dull his teams play. When you management fails to provide you with more quality players in the middle summer after summer, when you rest your hopes on pseudo footballer Matuidi, permanently injured Khedira, cant run past 60th minute Pjanic, what kind of style of football can we expect... Other than grinding out a result. Hes smart enough to adapt his strategy to players at his disposal and win games.
I disagree.

He will have the same outcome as capello.... winning the league but enraging the fans and board because of his pragmatic defensive but effective football.
They would sack him after winning la liga because they will say his football doesnt reflect the cruyff school ways.

That, or he fails at it because barca will most likely go into a heavy revolution after this debacle and propably they will provide him a silly team that cant defend.

I was a fan of idea of bringing Pochettino to Juve, so it would be dissapointing to see him end up at Barca, but it's not impossible. He strony denied a possibility of managing a Barcelona, but... he started backtracking a bit short time ago.

I did not want to disrespect Barcelona. You can say things differently. Espanyol has made a name for me, but I'm not arrogant and I didn't like making a statement like that.
Maybe now I wouldn't because in life you never know what will happen.

This quote was from August 2. Still, Poche wages are not so small, I guess it was a issue fo Juve too and Barca is not in good financial situation either.

Likely next Barca coach?
Doesn't seem likely, but wouldn't rule it out. Romano last night said the 3 candidates are Xavi, Poch and Koeman. Spanish media this morning say Allegri is part of the shortlist too.

Xavi said before he doesn't want to come with the current board and recently signed an extension with Al-Sadd. Pochettino backtracked on his earlier comments about never coaching Barca, possibly because he wants the job and a lot of executives at Barca don't want him:

Koeman doesn't want to leave Holland before Euro 2021.

Idk how serious those obstacles are for any candidate above, but it's not out of the realm of possibilities that Max goes there.

Koeman isn't allowed to leave before Euro 2021, he has a clause.

Pochettino is further and further:

And Xavi said in January he rejected Barca before Setien took over because it came too early in his career, he's not ready:

Idk if something changed in 6 months, but there's also been reports he doesn't want to work under the current president.

If all this materializes Idk if they have other options other than Max. Do they really want to hire another unknown like Setien?

Hopefully Allegri doesn’t go there. He’d grind out results, but wouldn’t be accepted anyway as he doesn’t play that outdated tiki taka. The same happened with Valverde, they were still 1st in La Liga when he got sacked. Horrible match.

And for now let’s enjoy the chaos there.

I don't think he would grind out results over there. As @Vlad said I think he would adapt and play a more pleasing brand of football like with us first 3 years.

They're linked with Alaba so if they get him and they already got Pjanić they'd be perfectly set for 4312:

MATS
Semedo-Pique-Lenglet-Alaba
Vidal-Pjanić-De Jong
Messi
Suarez-Griezmann

Team looks nice on paper but it’s horrible. Pique, Vidal, Suarez and Messi are 33. Alba 31 and will be 32 next season. Pjanic isn’t fast either, and De Jong has been shit if he doesn’t play as a regista. I don’t like Lenglet aswel. They’re in big trouble, and if we bought Griezmann and he showed at us what he did this year at Barca, the server would go down because of the heavy meltdown.

Edit: Alaba instead of Alba. Lets see if he wants to go there after yesterday.

Hiring a foreigner like Max that doesn't swear by the Barca "philosophy" would be so unlike Barca though. Promoting Pimienta or convincing Xavi seems more like a Barca move.

Agnelli and Zhang get along well and Agnelli recommended Zhang to take Allegri it's fine. /Tanu

Thoughts:

Pirlo appt and style is a very Europe focused one and not Serial A.

After latest Conte eruption, Agnelli might know something about him getting fired after season. Less to worry about Serie A with Allegri as inte*'s coach.

Would Barca, whose fans and club always demand to play a very diff style, consider Allegri? Or this big a change is being actually being considered acc to rumors after all the failures?

Allegri joining Inter surely makes him an enemy but It is in no way similar to Conte joining Inter. That pussy of a man had everything in his playing and coaching careers because of Juve.
