I think we'll play better football than under Conte. We might lose a few more league games, but I think we'll be better equipped for Europe. We still have a big shot at the Scudetto. We're still favourites.

Lets at least get to those QFs this season, and try to improve on that every season after.

That's the spirit. He will do well here, no doubts on my part. Have some really good feeling about Max. Haters can choke on a fat one.

Maybe better than the second and third year . From what i have seen from milan under allegri he never showed a better football than conte's first year .

Btw how many milan drop outs have we signed that did good for us and how many that were bad ? Davids and pirlo were exeptionally great , can't remember anyone bad .

Now I definitely prefer Conte to Allegri, 100%

However people are being way too bias here in regards to Conte. I'd dare say at this stage in their respective careers that Allegri is a superior Cup manager. But in the long run Contes motivational skills are far superior. Which is odd because Conte seemed to be the least motivated person around.

Conte only had 2 seasons in the CL. not really a fair comparison.
12/13 was very good and we only got knocked out by eventual winner and one of the best teams of the decade, completely unrealistic to expect us to beat them.
13/14 wasn't good but we still played well vs madrid but obviously there were some issues mentally in the gala and copenhagen games. maybe lack of motivation from being too successfully domestically or what not sure but yes so far allegri has always done better than that.

from only 2 seasons you can't really say allegri is automatically going to be better than conte, when conte matched allegri's best finish in his first season. say if conte had one more season and we got knocked out in the group stage again I would agree, but really for all we know we could get knocked out in the group stage again. don't forget milan is historically more of a CL team...
Allegri is shid until proven innocent. I think we all have that clear. The thing about our runs in the CL with Conte is the way we seemed to be apathic and not even trying to win. Not to mention the infinite amount of mistakes by our players and the lack of response to that. To a plan B. We wil never know how a third stint would have gone... but seen that he was not motivated to continue..it would have been bad IMO.

What's so great about passing groups in CL? Wenger does it every year, is he a genius?
Well, for us that means money. UNlike arsenal, we seem to have very limited funds...so..

Now THIS, is terrible logic

Spain, unlike Costa Rica and Juve won everything there was to win before crashing out. They embarrassed themselves AFTER making every other national team their bitch.

Enough of this luck crap. Bad reffereeing decisions happen, Snow doesn't just $#@!ing magically affect one team and playing 'good football' means $#@! all when you're not $#@!ing winning in the first place

But go ahead, blame everybody but Juve for Juves embarrassing shortcomings in Europe. The denial is so strong in this one.

It's hard to do anything in Europe when your coach is constantly moaning and belittling your chances, making ridiculous comments and admitting defeat before a ball has been kicked.

We're $#@!ing Juve not Sampdora. I don't want to hear $#@! like "The CL is a distant dream" and "We will try our best even though we can not compete" before $#@!ing big CL nights. His attitude towards cup competitions was pathetic, and I am extremely grateful for what Conte done for us domestically but his pessimism will not be missed.

he's one of the youngest coaches around and he was the most depressing man i've ever seen after winning trophies. Every single season he ruined the celebrations by talking about how 'the next Scudetto is impossible to achieve'

'The fans expect to win all the time, this is too difficult'

And his downright lack of motivation. Who the hell in their right mind would come back to a club they won everything with as a player, and get bored after WINNING, YES WINNING, Serie A 3 times out of 3.

He's not even 45 years old and he was bored of winning and bored of high expectations. He was living the dream ffs, and he acted as though somebody had died every Summer.
I think it cannot be clearer than this. Some want to throw everything on the board, (and let me remind you...im NOT defending them as like i have said before...everyone share the blame) all the bplded parts are so true

If we get Evra and Pastore, i wont be surprised if we have a great campaign in europe

I offcourse consider Conte a better coach, but one needs to accept that Conte had teams who were pretty well balanced all in all. Especially this year.

Allegri on the other hand, allways got a team wich was horribly balanced, and never got the means to fix that

He's going to do well because he's a decent coach. Not a house league manager like you would think reading this thread.

He has a great core of players at his disposal. He's going to do well IMO.

What was that thing about revisionism again @Osman :D

But yeah, Allegri is an okay coach. Problem is, we don't really know how good Conte really was, and how much of our strength was down to him. If Roma are as good this year as they were last season, I expect a very close league.

No matter Ocelot, no point discussing that anymore at this point. At this point most here are intoxicated on the Allegri kool-aid to have discussion about it, nothing in Milan was his fault, it was all their management and players alone (funny that not a SINGLE one of you were saying even 1% of now defence of his merit as coach while he was actually in Milan) , everything will be rosy for us, nothing can possibly go wrong.

Things can go very, very wrong. :D

I'm, probably like the others, just trying to be optimistic and think of the positives because he's here now and there's nothing we could do about it.
