It is right to do so because we now have 2 factors to consider
1. Success and what is considered to be a success
2. Global Marketing
1. Success should be regarded as winning the league and getting to at least a semi final (IMO) or get knocked out by a major team and not someone like Atletico Madrid with all the respect they are just not that great...
2. Global marketing - They way we play definitely isnt what best for business - I mean if you are new to football and you see our team on TV without any prior knowledge - Would you cheer for us?! Im not saying you wont but the answer for most people is -> Probably not...
What needs to be done?! We dont need to play tiki taka or Barca/City/PSG/Real Madrid style of football - We do need to find our own style but we need to do so with attacking mentality and not just sit back and wait for the others to make mistakes - It will appeal to more fans and IMO will make us much better

He was just stating his mind - think instead of him - You arent first on the pecking order then someone leaves and you become a starter then that same someone who many just called a traitor comes back and despite the coach words that you are his first choice - you fall behind him in line - It would annoy most people and lots of players would have acted the same way as Benatia - I hold nothing against him!
Anyway Benatia is not relevant anymore but his statement is probably right - with our current style its difficult to win the CL..

Who said he went there for competitive reasons?!
He was fed up with the situation and decided to leave - Then he chose money over other European clubs and believe it or not its a legitimate decision.
When you are in a certain situation it can change how you feel towards something so Benatia lost some of his passion to European football therefore was more interested in money and theres nothing wrong about it...
