I'm a fan of that formation but it wont work with our midfielders and playing the GOAT as a lone striker is also wasting him.

I think our away game to MU was our best game so far. I really liked us playing with a genuine winger.

Cancelo.... as solid as MDS is, he cant break away once opponent starts pressing. He is forced into a backpass or tries a long ranged one.

That worked because both Cuadrado and Zukich worked their ass off. Cuadrado literally was our RCM.
As soon Cuadrado dropped his form that system didn't work properly anymore.

If we want to play 4231 again we need to play with 2 DMs to compensate the lack of hard works from our winger players.

It could be interesting if he would try out the 3-4-3, when Cuadrado and Cancelo are back. With the amount of brainfarts that Bonbon does this year, he is better suited for a 3-man backline. We have two quality defenders in Rugani and Benatia riding the bench. Our fullbacks apart from MDS is better offensively than defensively and is better suited for LWB/RWB than LB/RB, and all our CM’s except for Matuidi is better as holding mids than as btb midfielders. I would like to see the formation for at least a couple of games.

Feels like a rehash of old conversations tbh, we aren't going all out in most games. So far the long term plan is working fine but there's loads to improve on. Everyone else should be terrified.

I don't think it's for the lack of trying.

Have you seen Juventus' xPTS for this season? We've earned almost 12 points more than we deserved by this metrics, for example Napoli's xPTS is -4.75 and inter's is -4.63 only
And now look at Pep's city - their xPTS is only -0.27, now feel the difference with Juventus, almost 12 points that mathematically were not deserved, but fortunately for us that very often xG, xA and xPTS doesn't mean shit and you still win the title

expected based on what? Sounds like if we have 12 points more than we "should" the flaw is the criteria they are using not us.
