Dybala and Douglas Costa dropped?
By Football Italia staff

Juventus are expected to drop Paulo Dybala and Douglas Costa for Saturday’s Derby d’Italia against Inter, with a 3-5-2 or 4-3-3 formation.

It kicks off on Saturday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT), click here for a match preview.

Giorgio Chiellini, Mattia De Sciglio and Stefano Sturaro are out injured, but Max Allegri is tempted to ring the changes following two disappointing performances against Crotone and Napoli.

With just one point from two games, their lead at the top of the table has been sliced to one point and there are four rounds to go.

According to the latest reports, Dybala and Douglas Costa could be dropped from the starting XI and the system moved to 3-5-2, although it could remain as 4-3-3 with Benedikt Howedes cutting inside as Alex Sandro moves up.

Andrea Barzagli is the favourite to step in for injured Chiellini rather than Daniele Rugani.

It’s believed Mario Mandzukic will partner Gonzalo Higuain in attack with Juan Cuadrado a good option on the right.

The midfield three or Sami Khedira, Miralem Pjanic and Blaise Matuidi remain untouched.
That got me so excited. Lets drop our two best offensive weapons, for defensive solidity, instead of ginding a way to make it work with our best players.

Allegri learned his lesson from the Napoli game. We need to be more cautious.

I can't stand a mid two anymore tbh.
Honestly, id rather sacrifice Matuidi so to be able to have Costa and Cuada both starting than have a midfield of immovable objecta like Khedira and Matuidi playing together. Ive said it many times, a midfield of Vieira-Makelele-Emerson is amazing on papper, but in practice there would be a HUGE gap between defence and attack when organising an attack (something which happens to us now) and you would see one of the attackers having to drop deeper to take the ball (like Dybala does now).

Inzaghi and his Lazio in many ways are the opposite of Allegri and Juventus, will be very interesting to see his approach if he indeed is hired. Hardly the worst choice, although I would've liked a Conte return or Jardim better, both super unlikely
