Hope it's true, need to become offensively ruthless not pragmatic energy saving mode all the time. It's better to build confidence by instilling the will to win big against anyone, it's great practice to get maximum output from the team in biggiest games, if they already used to pulverizing opponents offensively in minor games.

Like Bayern or Real are, it's second nature to them to have the mindset to drop 5 goals on any lesser side in league games, and that conditions them to be super lethal come CL time, since they aren't just used to going by just doing what's enough to win each game.

This is true. I absolutely love when Bayern crash someone in BL or CL with 5-6 goals or more. It happens often because our mindset is to attack and ofcourse also because we got a lot of danger upfront.

Some people (often PL fools) says its boring when we crush someone 6-0 or more, but honestly I dont care and only a fool would say so. Who doesent want to see the club he support trash an opponent?

Max knows what hes doing, if he wants to be more attacking then its because he, with his superior football knowledge, has realized thats what it takes for us to further progress

It also needs to be said that putting together a team capable of attacking at that level is far more expensive than our current setup. We are however starting to put more money in our attack. Give Beppe time and we will slowly gain more attacking ruthlessness. It would take 200 million to get that quality IMO

We aren't going to suddenly start playing like Real Madrid and Barcelona. We play in Serie A, they in La Liga. It's 38 games of a season with CL being 13 max. Different approach in Europe, sure. We've been doing that anyway.

Feel sorry for this guy, just been tricked into signing a new contract and is likely to have his best players sold again...

The most frustrating thing is that we are not even selling our players to the very best, we're selling them to the likes of Man Utd. Urgh such a weak mentality

I don't feel sorry for him. He earns millions of dollars.

I do feel sorry for you though. I don't think you are all there

Because clearly the context of the conversation was regarding his wages right Lionrente? Obviously I'm referring to the fact he's forced to lose his best players and having to adjust almost yearly since joining.

I hope we don't begin to neglect defense in turn. I truly love the fact that we have pretty much the best defense in Europe.
Pretty sure in accumulative through decades, we have always had the best defense in europe, and yet we lost 7 cl finals; while other teams that don't care about defense have won it more.

That's a stupid thing to take pride in, to say the least.

Right, we lost because we have the best defense in Europe. Keep up the good work.

They exist at the same time, surely one must cause the other

lol i love Americans with their weird ass stats

Certainly our defense statistically never gave us advantage to win those cups, it's 100% stats proven by now.
We are top 5-6 most successful international clubs, dont know what youre talking about

There is too much emphasis on defence. Of course it's important to have a good defence but the balance between our defence and attack is swayed too much for the defensive approach.

Bayern for me in recent years have always had the best balance between defence and attack.

They can score 5-6 goals while also not giving away too much at the back.

Max's latest interview confirms my theory after the final. The squad wasnt made for a 4231 thus the front 4 were ran into the ground. Pjaca's injury didnt help at all in that regard either. You could just tell how dead Mandzukic, Dybala and Higuain were in that second half. Maybe Alex Sandro is being sold in order to pay for the depth we want to add up front?

Max Allegri explained his plan for the Champions League Final against Real Madrid and why Juventus faltered at the last hurdle.

The Bianconeri were beaten 4-1 in Cardiff with a very poor second half performance, going into the break level at 1-1.

“The idea was to be leading at half-time, or at least get into a leading position by the hour mark,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“When we beat Real Madrid two years ago, that was a very different season, as we had more options and could change the game in the second half.

“This term we started with one style of football, then changed and the four in front used up a huge amount of energy for months.

“I hadn’t taken into account that Marko Pjaca could get injured, as he was improving and a player who, above all in Europe in a knock-out match, can make the difference.

“Not having Pjaca available, I had to push the other four harder and in the end some of them paid for that.”

If what im thinking is correct and Marotta uses the Alex Sandro sale to finance adding depth up front it could end up being a great move for us.
