Now finishing 3rd doesn't mean finishing 3rd.
Wow you can be clueless and stubborn at times just to prove a point. CL semifinalists, will you ignore that? It was obvious Rijkaard will leave and they were bound to secure CL places. They were on a last push for the CL with Ronaldinho so ofcourse ONE season of underachieving in the league can happen.

Simeone is a crazy douche, I hated him alot as a player, not for Inter, barely played there, but Lazio days or even Atletico days. Just an unlikeable savage. And as a coach on the sidelines he is one of the biggiest thugs around, but as a coach cant deny he has done an amazing job with Atletico. Until this season, think he is trying to make them more offensive and they just lack the kind of resolute resilient ubermensch quality that they used to have. Doesnt help they signed so many players, play more attacking wingers on the regular now compared to the compact almost 4 CM midfields.

@Osman

What do you think of his son? Killing it at Genoa for a 21 year old. 10 goals in 20 appearances this season. Would love him here in a couple years as Higgy back-up/replacement.
I only really seen him vs us and Inter, not sure what to think yet. He is rumoured to go to Milan. Preziozi as the pimp he is trying to peddle him to Milan or Napoli even during January lol, anything for a quick buck.

I haven't watched him a lot here in Serie A, but saw him quite a bit in Argentina for River Plate and then Banfield. Same deal with South America U-20s. I think he scored something like 9 goals in 5 games in that tourney. Always looked like he would turn into something good.

Its easy to say ignore him, he has no idea what hes talking about. But im yet to see a good response to my points
Oh please. Don't play that tired game.

I already showed you how he took a team that had not won a thing for 2 years and tweaked them (however small the tweaks were) to win almost everything possible for the next 3 years. Went on one of the most dominant stretches in club football history. And yes, the players available made it easier, but he still managed to get them to perform to their utmost ability and win everything.

He is. Hard to acknowledge it. I don't know why I dislike the guy. He didn't play for Inter for that long, although it was during one of their super-irritating phases where all they did was cry about Juve and ref decisions in those late 90s, Ronaldo years.

Him and Conte have some strong similarities, personality-wise. Insane passion and fire both as players and managers.
I dont know why people hate him so much. As you say he has a lot of similarities with Conte, and in general he personifies what Juve is about. I would absolutely love to have him here. One of the things I miss most about Conte is that crazy carisma and antics on the sideline during matches.

I would hate to see him in Inda. I think that getting him as a coach is actually the only thing that can make that sorry excuse of a club into a winning franchise.

I know you dislike/dont rate Pep more then most here, but do not tell me you genuinly agree with the amount insane hyperbolic shit he has been spewing for past 2-3 hours.
The way People and Media hyped this bald fuck is unbelievable, they almost spoke of him like it was Jesus himself standing on the sidelines. He bought into his own hype, and now one isn't allowed to point out his obvious flaws?

...Not to mention the interviews he gives are pure cringe.

We need to sign his son in the summer if Allegri leaves. Go for a package deal. Diego and Giovanni. :weee:

Point out flaws, rational criticism is fine. But that's not what sinoy is saying. He basically saying Pep has achieved nothing out of the norm and get this... Spaletti, Sarri and now Ranieri are his equals or superior. That's just utter idiocy or madness.

But can we do this without taking it ad absurdum, like Zizi, darling boy that he is...

Pep is/was a top manager that needs to show he can better adapt with the game and his environment.

Indeed, Atletico are an underdog top team that I like to root on when they deserve it as a neautral, but $#@! me did they not deserve to win those ties. Bayern completely molested them on every way in that first game, Atletico could barely play ANY football, and resorted to dirty as heck tactics. Mental collapse on a counter and great defensive organisation decided the game, not to mention the gazilion chances Bayern missed. But there was one side playing real football over those two ties, and it wasnt Atletico. Football can just be cruel like that sometimes. Lucky break for Atletico.
I agree fully. How we didnt manage to crush them with a big margin (when you look at how the match was played) and reaching the final i still got a hard time understand that here nearly 8 months after. That was some wierd shit to watch, we played so fucking good but it wasnt enough.

Wow. What are you on about? He is disgusting. Just look at the dirty way Atletico play. It's not only destructive football, but down right dirty. Just like the old Inter loser team, when they played the Materazzi way.
