Biggest fault here is Marotta's. He made the coach job very difficult with his dumb and poor timed decisions last summer.

But Allegri is failling miserably. We lack leadership on and off the pitch.

Against Sassuolo, he failed in playing Mandzukic and not Morata and in replacing Khedira with Sturaro (his lack of skills damage build on, Hernanes should be playing, but it hardly would make a difference).

But mainly, he failed with Cuadrado's positioning. He's playing like a RW, not like a RWB. We got exposed and unbalanced again.

Anyway, championship is off the table. Ability to fight for 3rd position is highly questionable.

They must go for a coach now, and when they find a suitable one (not an easy task), fire Allegri.

And the search must start NOW. There are no signs of improvement on the team short term.

What is inexcusable, is how we've went from such an amazingly organised club to shooting ourselves in the foot/dick at every opportunity

Just when we have a fucking team that as it was could go toe to toe with practically any other club, we go and let everybody fuck off to keep them happy and replace them with trash or unproven kids.

To me, this is 70% on Marotta. Any coach would've had a hard time right now. Of course Allegri is failling horribly also, but Marotta set the conditions for the fuckup. While spending a ton of money.

Yes. It's his biggest fault we can't beat shitty teams with much inferior square :agree:

I like 352 with real wing backs, but Cuadrado has been playing as a RW with the ball. It's just wrong.

Lemina is playing horribly and Sturaro is not good enough to be a CM, this is killing our build up.

Regardless, the squad is unbalanced and poorly constructed. He let guys go.

Lemina isn't a regista, he just isn't a distributor like this slow build-up 3-5-2 requires. He's a box 2 box mid.

3-5-2 as a counter formation is fine. I hate possession style 3-5-2 with a slow CF like Llorente or Mandzukic. It also means we're often a man short in midfield.

Yes, because the coach is shit. We're not playing Champions League sides here.
