Caceres to Juve by Friday?
By Football Italia staff

Uruguayan international Martin Caceres could become a Juventus player for the second time by the end of this week.

The Sevilla man is a January target for the Old Lady as they look to reinforce their credentials as a title contender.

Talks between the two clubs have taken place and a move could be on the horizon after Caceres was left on the bench for his side’s 2-1 loss against Rayo Vallecano at the weekend.

Juve want to take the versatile defender on loan for the next six months, with an option to buy him outright at the end of the season.

Whispers suggest that his initial loan could cost the Bianconeri as much as €2m, with his buy-out fee set at around €7m.

Caceres spent the 2009-10 campaign at Juventus on loan from Barcelona, but the Italian club opted to send him back to the Nou Camp. He then moved to Sevilla.

Caceres can play in the middle or as a full-back when required.

There are even suggestions that he could feature against Cagliari at the weekend.
