But he wasn't a flop in La Liga.
he was a flop for barca (pep's fault too)...from what i've know he simply wasn't the player for barca...he can't build up the play..and he was behind tactic play compared to the rest of barca's defenders..and he's too hurried when it's an 1vs1 situation..the good part is that he's very talented, good reflexes and he's always starting for uruguay. He's young and we can help him...Anyways i want to wish him all the best at :juventus:

 But you ain't alone. I put Alonso in my Football Manager last year, but damn Ranieri wanted Poulsen because "Alonso is too slow".

quaresma at start was considered first team player. he started many matches and he didn't do well. that's why they call him flop...
Yeah but he wasn't given that many chances. I remember he scored in he's very first game yet he was shown the door in Jan.

I guess people nowadays call any player a flop after playing few games. Criscito being another example....

criscito was an example of poor coaching. ranieri didn't hanlde him well and he rated him from a game against roma...

if ranieri was in madrid during casillas first steps, he would have sent him on loan at malaga...

Quaresma was given many chances. There were something like 3 games where Mourinho started him and took him off at the half time wasting one sub, because Quaresma did terrible. Also he came with high expectations and transfer fee but did so little, that it's not even nice to make fun out of it, if Diego ends up like that, we will call him terrible flop also. And the goal he scored was lucky deflection. FFS, he received Bidone d'Oro or whatever the trophy is called.
