I'm actually curious to know, how many other players have ever got a proverbial second bite of the cherry? Not often a player leaves a club in a mediocre period only to rejoin it 18 months later when it's on the ascendancy. The only other example I can think of is Toni and Fiorentina, but at 34/35 he's well past his peak, Caceres is still growing as a player, and all things considered has potentially a great future ahead of himself.
