I don´t know, for me he is a big dissapointment, he was one of the best players of his generation - silver ball in under 20 world cup 1999 - and turned into an average player. In some point he is strange for us because he has not the typical attitude that we, uruguayans, want an admire in a player, meaning "grinta" or "garra" in spanish .... balls ...
Now he is playing in Peñarol and he has the size and look of Mohammed Alí
Yesterday he scored in the Copa Libertadores qualis -

Journalists met the player last night at the airport, and it was obvious he was delighted to be back as he couldn’t stop grinning. Cáceres stated that it was a dream to return, and as soon as he heard of Juve’s interest in November, he couldn’t stop thinking about it. When visiting Italy with Uruguay in November, declared that he “couldn’t hide it, it is my dream to return to Juventus“. Cáceres mentioned that Antonio Conte badly wanted the Uruguayan and was a key driver in the player’s signing, which the Uruguayan (obviously) took great pleasure in hearing. Martin said he looked forward to wearing the Bianconero shirt for many more years.
Thats what i like the most about this whole transfer. He looks so happy to be here. His body language and his interviews all show that for him it is like a dream come true. And that can be very very good for this whole team. I cant wait to see him on the pitch.
