In all these last years we had awful fullbacks. I would never forget seeing Motta, Grygera, Zebina or Molinaro starting for us. The points that they had costed us and how they made us look like a joke in defence is something which has scarred me.

To have Lichtsteiner and maybe Caceres as fullbacks is something that means so much to me. To finally have the fullback-dilemma solved since 2007/08. It's more than just a signing for me. It's a step in the right way.
