Can about Mario:

"Mario has his own character, a particular one. He can command us by giving us a few looks, but he's also one of the smartest & warmest players. His contribution is fundamental. He's a funny guy too, I know it's hard to imagine but he has a good sense of humor!"

"Off the field? We are all friends, and we often go out together for dinner. Of course I am a bit closer to those who speak German like Mandzukic, Khedira & Pjanic.....and Matuidi, who doesn't speak German but always ends up joining us.''
Why Pjanic speaks german?

Since his fanboys usually only come out on the good tap-in days, let me serve:

How much would you say his defensive contributions helped us today and how much did he make life easier for Ronaldo and Dybala?
Still nothing wrong with our tactics and use of this 90 min passenger (sorry, clutch player)?

To me, it is like playing with a 10 against 11, when the output is 1 shot per game. Especially against strong teams like today.

He always plays, straight from injury to lineup. Most important piece in Allegris master plan.
If I didn't see the line-up before the game, I swear I wouldn't have noticed him or Bentancur on the pitch. Complete and utter cones out there, may aswell have fielded 9 men. Even out of the other 9 men we did field, only 2 or 3 at a push actually played anything like they belonged at this level.

I cant remember him even touching the ball and he gave zero support to ronaldo.
He generally produce close to nothing. It shows from watching the games and from the stats too as has been demonstrated. When you play as a striker for Juventus, then you will not avoid scoring those tap-ins and few decent headers he has scored, with all the supply he has received. Same goes for assists. Latest judgement after the myth about him running his ass off was brutally debunked, is that his mere presence makes all the surrounding players perform better. It was gonna backfire sooner than later, fielding a passenger at this level. Especially if Allegri cant even figure out to use his actual strengths in the box.

Not that his loss is on Mandzukic, not at all. I think it is on Allegri. But Mandzukic is such a remarkable key element in the way Allegri tries to play, that I think it is important to address what we really gain from this setup, and keeping players like Cancelo, Dybala, Bernadeschi, Costa, Spinazzola, Cuadrado, Kean on the bench (generally).
