Like sergio said, the beautiful thing about this formation, is that we are still discovering what we can do and what we cannot.

On paper, yes, it makes sense that to use pjaca on the wing, we would need 2 more physical players as dms, but we are theorycrafting and this formation with pjanic and pjaca could pretty much work if pjaca gets the hang of what allegri wants from him defensively.

If he learns how to do this, we could easily play pjanic behind him and see to which extend we can field offensive players.

Nothing is written in stone right now. For the time being, mandzu is working good on that wing, but it doesnt mean his game there doesnt have shortcomings. So we can still experiment even more

Pjaca doesn't mean Pjanic benched anyways. Pjanic has been a pitbull in this two man mid... It's been the most surprising thing I've seen from any of our players this year so far... Never expected him to be tackling and putting the kind of defensive efforts we're seeing.

If you read what Allegri and Pjanic have been saying lately, youll notice that both see Pjanic in a deep role. Pjanic said that Allegri wanted him at Juve to play infront of the defense, also said its the position hes best at because hes always close to the ball. Allegri said numerous times that Pjanic can play there and now switched to a formation where he could easily have fielded him at AM but chose to make him a DM. Its obvious hes to stay a DM

I don't even mind trying Pjaca there but for the truly important games like the CL and the big head to heads in Serie A Mandzukic must play.

This is spot on. Pjanic has been fantastic defensively in the 2 man mid. Even been the more holding midfielder with Khedira allowed to move forward. Absolutely no reason to think Pjaca and Pjanic cant play together in 4-2-3-1 formation

Pjanic-Khedira doesnt work unless you have immense aid from the wide positions
