Again... Mandzukic is a good CF. But Morata is better. What we needed was a bench player for Morata, and that's not Mandzukic, because of his price and salary. Actually even Zaza, 18M is a lot for a perennial backup.

Anyway, I think he offers a good option as a CF, but dislocating Morata from his natural position is very bad.

The make up of the team with players who are redundant started with his signing. He was brought to be a starter, but he just doesn't fit with Morata, or better, Morata doesn't fit with him. There was an evaluation mistake in there.

IMO Marotta got him because of his experience and because he was one of the very few high profile strikers available. But his style just doesn't suit the team.

At least if we had Coman to play at the LW...

IMO one between Mandzukic and Zaza must go.

But he was a starting XI striker for the treble winning Bayern. He even scored in the CL final. Sorry. He might not suit our gameplay, but he is easily a top striker suited to a club of our stature. He scores a ton.

He scored today. A classic CF goal. Got position on the defender and perfectly timed his movement to connect with Dybala's pass. That's what we want out of a CF.

I still prefer Morata-Dybala as a starting pair. But this guy is an absolutely phenomenal option to have in rotation. Preferring Zaza to him is outright ridiculous.
100% Agree. Preach.

I knew that letting llorente go and àying 19 mils for this man was a mistake...from the very first minute.

What a fuking waste. AT least llorente was likeable.

I'd rather stick with Mandzukic as our primary CF ahead of Morata. I remember Mario was great in the Supercoppa and it looks like he's getting some form back.

You mean, when he was walking around on the right, drinking water, and Allegri was yelling at him to get back in the box?

He scored in the 4-3-3...
I'm not saying he was super or anything (and yeah going wide top often) but he seemed to know how to move more with latter. In the former it was mainly being placed well in box few times but didn't get to touch the ball much. But there was the difference of us trying to kill time that made it easier to get more involved a bit.

We played against Empoli, Empoli don't kid yourself I still say he's not Juve material and i don't like him. He needs a lot more good games and against better opponents to convince me otherwise.
