i remember him as a bayern player scoring against us. i said back then that i've never seen a striker with so much defensive contribution. he was terrifying, our defenders didn't have a single second to relax, they were under constant pressure. mandzukic uses his elbow more than chiellini, he's a genuine workhorse, and also he can score some goals, too. he's not a direct tevez replacement (there's no player who could do all the hard work that tevez did, and score like 30 goals a season), but mandzukic is coming from three 20-goal seasons in a row, so he's prolific enough, too.

btw great work by :beppe: once again.

This ugly animal is going to make a pussy out of some so called tough Serie A defenders and I'm thinking about Napoli in specific. And of course that Romanista Manolas turd. :tuttosport:

He has a face only a mother could love.

The Italian media are going to have a field day with this guy playing for Juve, they will be crying and bitching every second.

Actually, judging ONLY from the video highlights I saw of Dybala, he makes a great trequartista. Smart movements around the penalty box and his ability to assist goals in that last third is great.

considering how well dybala defends for a striker and how much better than either pereyra or vidal as an attacking player, and also marchisio being now an overall more useful regista than pirlo, we might just be stronger than last year.

Can't pretend i am not disappointed. $#@!ing :beppe: never fails to provide at least one major $#@! up per mercato. We should have invest on a younger player.
we'll have berardi, coman and zaza, but they have a combined international experience of around ~10 minutes.

I mean I do think that there is a certain lack of creativity in our presumed lineup, but I don't by far think that it's as bad as it's made out to be. Tevez, for all his virtues, primarily isn't a creative force either, and we did just fine last season, even (or especially) in matches where Pirlo didn't play.

And while we probably won't have a classical playmaker starting (assuming Pirlo doesn't), most of our players in midfield and attack (bar Mandzukic, Zaza, Llorente) can create a little bit at least. Marchisio has had a few killer passes this season, Pogba can come up with something out of nowhere, Vidal has his throughballs occasionally, Pereyra is a great dribbler, Dybala & Berardi great passers.

All in all the concern is greatly blown out of proportion imo.

Can't see us going into the new season with three young players as the main three attacking options, you need a bit of experience in there to do well in the CL.

Damn, I had no idea this became (almost) official.

I think Mandzukic will prove many people wrong here. Sure, he's not gonna do as great as Tevez, but let's face it -- not many players could even pull such performances. Mandzukic is a beast and runs his lungs out, I think he's gonna be a great addition to this Juve as he has all the right characteristics IMO. Pretty excited to see both him and Dybala here (behind him and Morata?). Mario also helps out defense, just like Tevez did, so I like we're moving toward aggressive players with higher pace which is going to help us in Europe surely.

And 18mln? I think that's quite good price. I approve this transfer.

Oh and IF Mario is a Llorente replacement then this move is nothing but amazing.

Asamoah will play instead of Evra.

If that is the formation and players we will use, then we are stronger then last year.
No, he won't. We're gonna keep playing Evra as he's a natural LB plus he had a very good season.
