Right mate.
I don't think there are too many people on this forum who think that Mario Mandzukic is some kind of Zaza-level player. I don't know how long you were lurking before you made your account to start posting but there had been calls on this forum for us to sign him season after season. When he arrived it was a dream come true for many. I had only seen him play against us with Bayern but what I saw of him in our shirt showed to me that he was the exact right player for us.
He has scored 20+ goals in all competitions 5 seasons in his career and that includes the three seasons prior to his move here. We all expected him to score 20 goals but because of injuries he wasn't able to. Also hampering him was his seeming inability to come back from injury into top form right away. He seems to need a game or so before he starts charging around the way we expect him to. Without injuries next year he'll score even more goals. I think we all know that.
Who doesn't trust him? Send them to me.
I'm quite new here, reading posts for the last year, always been too lazy to make account and post..
You know, croatians kind like a hate Mandzukic, at least they (we) started it in past 2 years, saying that he is no longer prolific goalscorer, and that he does more damage to attack and tactic, than good.
Besides injuries, he had a problem this year, he needed to adapt to new style of playing, after spending seasons in Germany and Spain, and one more thing, he may have played bad because even with Morata here, he didn't have much competition for starting 11. Allegri played him even when he didn't score form 5,6 games in a row, but he is a player who constantly seeks battle and competition, and that gives him some kind of inspiration for scoring, like Gomez in Bayern.
I read what his manager said, that he will stay here even if Higuain came. And that is something completely new for Mandzukic. He went from Bayern when Lewa came because he knew that Pep also doesn't like him, he went from Atletico when Torres came back and fans gone wild like some kind of God put signature on contract with AM, but now he wants to stay, he wants to fight for position; because he has a trainer who trusts him and likes his play.
I don't know if you know this, but when he started his proffesional career, in lower rang of croatian footbal, the club wore old Juventus jerseys with clubs crest on it, and when he arrived in Juve he said that now his football dream is fulfilled. So i don't think that anyone can push him out from Juve, not for another 3 years
