Allegri: Mandzu is gifted

“People maybe don’t realise, quite a few in fact, but Mandzukic is a very technically-gifted player,” Allegri told Sky Sport Italia.

“He rarely gets a pass wrong and gave a fantastic assist to Paul Pogba, as he did to Sami Khedira the other day.

“Paulo Dybala catches the eye because he’s quick and agile, but watch Mandzukic timing his runs and choosing his passes.”

I fully agree.

Me too. It should be pretty apparent to anyone with eyes. In fact it really surprised me this season watching the player more closely, before I'd mostly seen him involved in a war (usually with a Juve/Italy defender), but his lay-offs and touches are pretty fantastic.

What I didnt like yesterday was his communication with other teammates in the first half. It was like he would play for the first time with some of them and it ruined many of our attacks at the beggining.

il nuovo vucinic :touched:

agreed btw. he's often considered as a battling ram without any skills, but actually he's pretty good on the ball, and his off the ball movement is quite intelligent, too. (he can thank allegri the latter tho.)

too bad he's a lazy bitch sometimes.

I know what he means. He has little time out periods in the game where he's just walking and he is just throwing his hands around like a drama queen, but a minute later he looks like a madman and everything is fine.

With Dybala he forms the best partnership in our attack. It's been like that since that Supercoppa match.

He's such a resourceful player.

Some of the criticism from the press, and indeed from our own fans was baffling. He's had a very big impact on the team this year, and has won over so many Juventini with his grinta, workrate and decisive goals. He's a beast.

Just thought about how you've always agreed/been positive about everything this mgmt said or did and how Andy hated you because of it

He was injured many times and had a run of bad form from January till March. If he can stay in form for most of next season he can get to 20 goals easily

Still think we need an upgrade or for Morata to step in and perform like he's capable of. Mandzukic is not suited for european football especially since we play without wingers...
