And did I suggest otherwise that we don't have long term vision ?
Selling Pogba over Vidal this year would've been stupid.I want to see us make a genuine effort in keeping him atleast for the next two seasons.
Way more upside and marketing potential than Vidal will ever have.
The last sentence

Thats why I find it funny when people suggest we should have sold Pogba instead.

i am sure pogba will not be sold at least after euro 2016.

Would make my week if we blocked Vidal's move. Put him on market if thats the case or better yet ask bayern to up their offer since its a one way transfer. But for all we know paper works must have been done already.

Fuck bayern regardless.

Red knows it :D
The fact that beppe flew to Germany means we were tempted by something and i dont think it was the 37mil or whatever reported offer

Maybe they helping us how to deal with shalke. #goodrelationship #bestfriends

Now you gonna give me german playing for bayern bs like beppe wouldn't know that already.
No one knows what is going on but we can only imply that either we were never interested, we bid and it wasnt enough or götze himself would rather stay there than come here

There could be so many things that could have been the reason but as things stand i highly doubt vidal was ever a reason we could imply we'd get gotze

Look at you. Sucking the proverbial management's cock at every given opportunity. You used to be better than this. What the fuck happened to you? Drinking too much of that blind optimism delusion juice?
So instead of blindly following the management (which has given us year on year improvement and fantastic results over four years) we should death-ride every single move they make and proclaim doom and gloom?

They've won 4 scudetti in a row, reached the CL final and up to this season have had an excellent transfer policy. The season hasn't even started and you're already bitching about what they may have done wrong. It's blind pessimism from your part, not blind optimism from his.

Give them the benefit of the doubt after last season. They deserve it.

Many teams admire us and equally envious of how well we are run.

I would've actually criticized the management more if they had sold Pogba because that screams lack of long term vision.

It would be wonderful if we somehow kept him for a few more yrs but I wouldn't count on it.

Not to berate Vidal or his contributions but a player like him is not exactly that hard to replace.

I wouldn't say the same for Pogba because he can dominate and is of a very high technical quality so he'll be harder to replace in the future.
Not hard to replace? :howler: Only time will tell how obnoxious such a statement is.

I'm not against selling Vidal (I'm obviously not thrilled about it), but the way we handled the situation, and how much we are getting for him screams desperation. Not to mention that the guy we are potentially replacing Vidal with is no established or accomplished star. Draxler has the potential, but will he realize it? That is another matter entirely.
