Very RedCafe this post

Come on lads! it's GoetzON again. Working me in transfer muppet!
I was speaking with a business contact of mine who has a lot of contacts in sports journalism in Germany. He is usually pretty up on transfer business particularly if it is about Bayern, although he is not interested in forums, Twitter, etc. I haven't spoken to him in a while so I took the opportunity to speak to him about Götze etc. He said he had heard literally nothing, not even a whisper, about Götze to Juve, in fact he was surprised when I mentioned him.

The main stories he has heard from his contacts are Draxler, although he thought that had run into difficulties.

he is usually spot on with this stuff.

Tevez wasn't a guarantee when we signed him? Apart from his off field antics, he was being brought here as a sure shot performer, mind you. Tevez and Pirlo were near certain guarantees as players, and they're the ones outgoing this summer, which means that level of quality needs replacing. Add Vidal to that bunch and you'll find the starting eleven, save for Pirlo's gradual decline, has lost two star performers. What you're also mistaking going back to the Vidal signing, was where Juve were at that point in time. Two back to back 7th places. Trying to find their way back in Italy, and qualify for the CL. That story has added a few pages to the book. This includes four back to back scudetto, a CL QF, a Europa SF and a CL finalist position to boot, with a far greater turnover than we had in the year we signed Vidal for the money we did.

Our objective now is keeping pace with where we are, and to do that, in a season of high attrition, you would be well served to sign a player who comes with better experience to adapt at a big club, since he comes from an equally big club. A Goetze for instance, offers that over a Draxler. He works in an environment where the pressure is high on a daily basis, he's a World Cup champion and he knows big game temperament, that is the kind of combination you need to be served with when you have lost the kind of starters that we have.

To conclude, I would disagree that Draxler would top off a 'helluva mercato' given that Vidal has been sold for under 40m.
Tevez is adequately replaced, our forward line should be the least of our worries with the likes of Dybala, Morata and Mandzukic leading the line. Vidal had abysmal season and quite frankly his last season's form won't be missed here. Pirlo was way past it and he was more detrimental for our game. Current team with or without fancy AM is among top 8 European clubs, which alignes with our objectives.

If there's opportunity we should try to get Goetze, he's a top player undoubtfully and would make a difference here, but whether we have enough fiancial pull to make this deal and how likely it is that Bayern would let go hottest German prospect atm, one that already made his mark at the biggest stage is another matter. I can't see this and until there's something more reliable I won't be jumping on this wagon. One marquee signing is bound to come.
