So we indeed sold Vidal to cover the purchase of Dybala :depressed and here i was thinking we are finally back on top and we'd be making at least one quality signing with the CL money.

Everything Bayern is saying could still lead up to a loan... "Younger player" "needs time" "lacks confidence". A loan to a great club, like Juve, where he will start can help address most of their comments. They can save face by defending why the loan makes sense while we swoop to get him.

At the end of the day there is no room for him there. All these words mean nothing if you look at the facts. Alonso, lahm, Martinez, costa, robben, ribery, Vidal, even alcantara at Midfield and muller, lewandowski at top. From a positional stand point they typically play 1 up top with lewandowski. Muller recessed with two wings and two defensive mids. He is either fighting muller, ribery, robben or now costa for a spot. Meanwhile Alonso, lahm, Vidal, and Martinez fight for 2 DM spots. Looking at it from this standpoint, costa would be first man off bench then Gotze.

At his age, he needs to play and develop. This is the most important part of his career that sets him up for the rest of his life. Being on the bench does nothing but depreciate his value. Loan him out, negotiate a fair clause that can helps Juve but keeps small door open for return.

Win/win.
