"Up until a couple of weeks ago, the price-tag set by City had been €37m, but Milan managed to negotiate it down to €20m to be paid over a six-year period"

Call Galliani what you want but that's how you negotiate. Marotta is a nightmare $#@!eyed penny pinching nincompoop who can learn a thing or two from him.
In the end this sums up everything Milan are lucky if they end up in 5th and players like balotelli are going there. Meanwhile were lucky we get anelka

True, Galliani is very good at doing deals like this. Notice the players he does it with, mostly successfully. City would never get €37m for him anyway, no one would pay that for the guy. It all comes down to a difference between how badly they want shot of him and how much Milan can go up to.
Will you get out of Marotta's already? It's not funny anymore.

Amazing how Galliani pulls off these moves.

sure, he sucks in working on priorities like defence and midfield, but managing to get half of that sum city requested, and then pay in 6 yearly installments, thats quite the job well done.

I hope they end third, with inter not in the cl, and fiorentina not even in europe.

Instead we have Bendtner AND Anelka. If you are going for the retarded players, Then you might as well get the awesome one with potential.

Not sure what Marotta has to do with it, we were never interested in Balotelli.
Do you intentionally reply like that or are you just thick?

It's not about Balotelli, Drogba, Lopez, Cassano, etc it's about missing on opportunities because he wants things his way. It's frustrating to see other teams do it while we just watch.

Well I don't accidentally reply so I must be thick. Or you could just be upset.

Maybe you see 'opportunity' as something different. For the club there was never any question of buying Cassano or Balotelli, nor paying the wages for Drogba. You can blame Marotta, but those standards were set way before and above him.

This season was always going to be that bit more difficult, things aren't going well for us right now in several areas at once, so I'm not going to be obsessed with one area.

I won't be at all upset, on the contrary, I'll be happy if you don't reply.

It sucks Balo is going to Milan but it's going to be great for the national team. The chemistry El Sharaawy and Balotelli will build together is gonna make Italy scary good upfront.
