Viola net midfield two Saturday 24 July, 2004

Angelo Di Livio will play for Fiorentina next season and he will be joined by Enzo Maresca of Juventus.
The veteran midfielder has made peace with the club after an initial contract dispute by penning a new one-year deal. "I’m ready to start again with the Viola," he said.
The 37-year-old has been the emblem of the side in recent seasons after helping them back from Serie C2 to the top-flight.
Di Livio stayed loyal to the club after their enforced relegation, even accepting a substantial cut in wages after the 2002 World Cup to stay in Florence.
He was made captain after that gesture and has a close relationship with the fans despite his past as a Juventus player.
Meanwhile, Maresca is expected to complete his move from the Turin giants in the very near future.
The former Under-21 midfielder, who originally rejected the switch, has now accepted the transfer.
Negotiations took place on Friday and further talks are set to continue. An announcement could be made later today.
