he Bianconeri are well known to have made the signing of a top-class centre midfielder their priority in the summer transfer market.

Juve have been linked with a host of players, most notably Werder Bremen’s Diego and Hamburg’s Rafael van der Vaart.

However it is now looking unlikely that either of these will be moving to Turin, as Claudio Ranieri feels that both players will not fit into his favourite 4-4-2 system.

The Tinkerman is looking for a midfielder who can both defend and attack. Napoli’s Marek Hamsik is admired, and Juve could be in a strong bargaining position to sign the Slovakian due to the presence of the Bianconeri-owned Marcelo Zalayeta and Manuele Blasi at San Paolo this season.

However Tuttosport says that Villarreal’s Marcos Senna could be the man to make the move.

Senna, who turns 32 in the summer, is a defensive centre midfielder, who is renowned for his passing and long-range shooting.

The Brazilian-born schemer plays his international football for Spain, and has won seven caps, although he only made one appearance during the Euro 2008 qualifying campaign.

Senna will be available for €10m, a price that Juve sporting director Alessio Secco believes is reasonable.

Another one? I'm really starting to think Secco is on Moratti's paylist.

Just Sucko?? Or Blanc, Gigli and Ruineri too...
When Ruineri came here, he was tallking that he will play attacking football, like he did with Parma 4-3-3...or 4-3-1-2...but noooo, he will play 4-4-2...Asshole...
So no VdV, no Diego, no Giovinco, let's bring on Amauri (25m€), Lampard (15m€), Senna (10m€), Elmander (29m€, taht is his price tag ,set by his club FC Toulouse)...That would be great, right Ruineri???

(Tuttosport)

You can play attacking in a 4-4-2, but then you have to play with one Dm and one AM, f.e. with Sissoko and VdV.

But Ranieri goes back to the Capello era, two wingers and 2 DM's.

Ye a know, but if u are going to play like that u play more like Milan , dimond system

Buffon

Zebina - Legro - Chiellini - BLAh

Sissoko

Camo - Nedved

VDV

Trezegol - Del Piero

But Ruineri all ready stated he doesn't like VdV (he isn't the player that i need) or Diego type player, he likes the DM who can attack and defend... only problem is, that our DM's can do both, ok they can defend, but attack?? I don't think so...
So if Ruineri is still looking for DM..what's that saying about him...
Even the birds are singing that we need Diego type of player, better said some player that we can build a squad around him, a guess Ruineri will play Capello style (Emerson, Vieira)...O ye a forgot we don't have that kind of quality any more...

No he's too old and the worst thing about this is that secco thinks 10m is ok. so why dont we buy vdv who is 7 years younger for 17mil who is 2x the player senna is, but the worst thing about this is that this is the sort of player/deal secco will go for.:wallbang:

Agree completely, let's just hope Secco and Ranieri come to their sences soon, because, if we stay in top 4, out goals will be reached for this season so we are stuck with them for at least one more year if nothing goes wrong in the last 3 months.

The problem is not just them , but the whole FIAT board (Gigli and Blanc)...We must get rid of them first...But how to do that if the majority owner is a FIAT man-John Elkann(Ferrari- Montezemolo, who is in bed with MERDATTI)...
We are stuck with them for another year and sadly with no silverware... :inter:
