Pescara are fucking desperate

If Verratti didn't want Juve he'd be at PSG already, Sebastiani is basically begging Juve to make a move.

The thing is he talks about €1m (a nice convenient number) but we have no idea in what deal that is involved. You don't just keep upping your bid in negotiations because Pescara are whoring him elsewhere, Sebastiani has been playing games ever since it became more likely Pescara would make Serie A. If Verratti chooses PSG then fine, but it's pretty obvious which deal suits him best, even Sebastiani alludes to it. If our offer is actually low then '€1m' should be no problem, but considering PSG's offer Pescara aren't going to be accepting as low an offer as has been mentioned here several times. It must be more like €6m for half of the player.

I've been saying this for ages now, the Pescara management probably let the PSG interest 'leak' to RAI or SKY and let them take control of the rumour.

Actually, they must have sold it as a done deal or very close to a done deal going by the way RAI were confirming he had already moved.

And the best thing is they are still talking about selling him now, despite only a few weeks ago releasing news on their official site that Verratti isn't going to be sold.

AND they're still blabbing on about having the same chances of completing a deal with Napoli, Juve and PSG.

Verratti will continue to choose Juve if they maintain interest. Pescara must be begging Marotta to make a larger offer, we all know what his reaction will be to that don't we? :D

Marotta, the new Moggi :delpiero:

If PSG did make a bid with 2mil/y salary for Verratti and he still choose us, it shows how mature he is. Staying in Italy, especially Pescara in 1 more year will help him develop into much better player. Then he moves to Juventus which is 100 times better than a team PSG will ever be.

PSG-Verratti deal not complete

Marco Verratti’s transfer to Paris Saint-Germain is not complete, confirms the player’s agent, who hints that other interest still remains. The highly-rated 19-year-old midfielder was thought late last week to be on the verge of concluding a €14m transfer to Ligue 1 outfit PSG. However, following on from the player’s admission that Juventus remained an option, and Pescara President Daniele Sebastiani’s goading of the Bianconeri to re-enter talks, Verratti’s agent has also cooled speculation of the move to France. “I am Marco Verratti’s agent and employee, but I also take care of his interests and try to do so in the best possible way,” reflected Donato Di Campli, who was in Paris speaking Leonardo last week. “Moving to France is not yet concluded. There is a strong interest, but it is not done today, it’s something that has gone around for the last couple of months. “There have been so many lies told on this story, but I don’t want to repeat them. Unfortunately, it is the wrong approach to these situations, to have blinkered sight. “There are so many interested and in such a way that you cannot imagine. What I will reiterate is that if Verratti goes to PSG then it is a defeat for Italian football.”
