he has a much better chance of seeing first team football in Paris than Juve.
True. Probably.

Nonetheless, he surely has the see the bigger picture. Like the 2013/2014 season when Juventus need his skills to replace Andrea Pirlo in the 2014/2015 season after a 1 year understudy playing in Coppa matches and part Serie A matches. All this if we shelled out now and loaned him back to Pescara for a return after the 12/13 Xmas break in 6 months time.

Matuidi
Pastore

It's probably just as hard really, although we have better depth/quality ratio. The other issue with Verratti is that he needs a free role to really be at his best.

You seem to know a lot of what goes on in Verratti's head, Hydde.
Yeah! im like that!

but on a serious note.... I was talking if i was him...how i would think.

About playing with superstars? meh, like someone said, u have to see it on the big picture.

He has never been tested in serie A, so in Pescara he would be perfect to try because he knows his team and has no pressure to deliver or no Pirlo to beat ofr that position. After a season or 2 in serieA football he will be what? 21? 22?. Thats a perfect age to start demanding a good swap if those 2 previous years were a success.

IMO it would not be that bad to stay at pescara and hone skills. But if he wants good wages thats another matter

Momo,Matuidi and Motta are B2B,Pastore is an AM,dont know much about Chantome and Bodmer..

But perhaps Carlo is wanting to play a regista flanked by 2 B2B mf's just like the system he employed at Milan ?..If so then the move makes sense and he might actually see a substantial amount of game time..

Bar Pastore none of those midfielders mentioned are really "creative" players..

Just like how Carlo had Pirlo as DLP and Kaka at AM,perhaps he wants to implement the same system here as well..Veratti as DLP ,Pastore as AM..

Why is everybody assuming that we must replace Pirlo? Why must we employ a system that has a deep lying playmaker covered by two midfielders to begin with?
Conte knows other systems you know. Nobody is pulling a gun to his head telling him he has to have a creative man in the back.
When Pirlo retires wouldn't that just be a good excuse for Conte to return to his preferred 4-2-4 system?

Verratti is nearly officially a PSG player, very disappointing.. We're going to regret this in the future. He's a better player than Pogba or Marrone, or even Chibsah (who some on this forum really like). He doesn't rely on physical attributes or skill, rather his technique and vision.. He has skills which are more instinctive than from hard work.

Who rates him more than Pogba or Marrone?

And how many games have you actually watch Veratti played? Please don't include youtube highlights.

Most of his Serie B games actually, because I wanted to follow Immobile. If it wasn't for terrible finishing by the Pescara strikers, Verratti could have easily had over 15 assists on the season. He over commits on defense though with his challenges, he's quite rash but he's very talented, deserves all the praise and hype he's been getting.

gimme PP and Luca any $#@!ing day over Verratti.
I'd take Luca over Verratti, I don't know about Pogba haven't seen him play.. ever.. Though from how strongly Ferguson wanted to keep him he should also be very talented. Juventus have a lot of really promising young players, I just felt Verratti could actually contribute immediately (only "youth" player I think can contribute is Marrone).

Of course this is just my opinion, but Verratti really fits with Conte's system. It's a pity to watch one of Italy's brightest talents, who really wanted to transfer to Juve, pretty much rejecting every club, go to PSG...
