Esti hasnt done fine, neither has Giacch, but he has been decent in overall. Esti not at all.
I'm not necessarily "claiming" they were fantastic, but at times they did help the team out in whatever role they were asked. Giach gave us some good goals and added width, etc.

What I was really driving at though with that post was that Conte does give players chances to play, he did with both Giach and Esti and they have a fraction of the talent that Verratti is showing so why wouldn't he let him get adequate game time?

Giach-attack worked his was up from C1 and was able to play for Juventus and no one heard of him. Same goes for Esti coming from no where we knew of. As for Verratti, he has been absolutely stunning in a gritty 2nd Division where its not as easy to do that kind of stuff. At 19 and producing the goods like he is, no reason why he wouldn't be able to make a good mark against the smaller teams/games next year.

I agree with your assessment of Conte giving chances to no-name players, so it wouldnt be that suprising if he gave a shot to Italy's best young midfield talent. Just disagreed with the liberal use of "fine". Esti I dont think at all will be here next season.

Offtopic, but wouldnt be suprised if the next under ze radar small team player Conte/Marrotta sign would be Schelotto.

On topic: "fine" as in sink or swim he swam, I don't think he sunk. ;)

Off topic: I wouldn't mind him.

I think there are a few reasons for Estigarribia struggling (not getting consistent game time in a tougher league in a new country, adapting to left wing back). He still had a few decent games even though there was some horrible performances, I think Conte might want to keep him.

He brought 2 no-names from God knows where they came from (Giaccherini & Esti) and gave them ample playing time to prove their worth. Regardless of age, they certainly never came from a club as "challenging" as Juventus and they did fine.

Fuck the age, if they have the talent let them play.
Must add that they are both older and more versatile than Verratti.

You don't need to look far, just see how little playing time Marrone has got this season.

Older shouldn't make a difference here. In terms of immediate impact & quality then Verratti > esti & giach

As far as Marrone goes...well, our trio of Marchsio, Vidal & Pirlo maintained injury free all season long and were absolutely fantastic...no one was going to get any space with only 2 competitions.

The fact that they were injury free and fit all season and STILL doing well...conte wanted to ensure our objectives were met and guarantee a top 3. As the season progressed and we actually started believing we could win the league was all the more reason for Conte to not want to change anything. Thats why Marrone didn't get any time.

Well, Juventus were only in two competitions this year. Next season, with more games to be played and if injuries start to pile up we could see alot more of Marrone.

Not to mention, Marrone is more of a backup to Marchisio/Vidal, where there is competition (i.e. Giaccherini, Padoin, etc) Verratti is the only true alternate to Pirlo, and given that Pirlo is 32/33 years of age now I don't think he has the legs to play 90mins each game with 3 competitions.

I don't buy the "we played in only two comp."-excuse because even when we rested, or when one of our midfield trio was out, giac was always used, he was always subbed in. how do you explain that?
