Marco Di Vaio may have opened his scoring account for Juventus but he maintains the club have seen nothing yet.

The £16m man netted twice in the 5-0 rout of Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday but the former Parma star says that the real Di Vaio has still to show his face.

"People at Juventus, my teammates and the fans, still haven’t seen the real me. I still haven’t scored my type of goal, one with my feet," he claimed.

"Headed goals are rare for me and on Tuesday I got two in one game. I’m a player that takes advantage of quick breaks and I love to attack space.

"Players like Marcelo Zalayeta and David Trezeguet are here to score with their heads."

Di Vaio has started all of Juventus’ competitive games so far this season as Coach Marcello Lippi has preferred him to a frustrated Marcelo Salas.

But Di Vaio has backed the Chilean striker to make an impact for the club despite David Trezeguet now set to return to action too.

"I understand Salas’ frustration and I’ve spoken with him. I went through the same thing when I first arrived at Parma. I had to sit on the bench before I finally earned myself a place in the first team," he added.

"But I’ve always admired Salas and he will soon give his contribution to the side. He only needs to be patient because technically he is a fantastic player."

he looked like he was trying too hard during the atalanta match though....if he continues to try to impress the coach too much he won't score much,if any.

Dt.Agricola: "Di Vaio is allright"
02 10 2002
At the end of the match also the fright was changed in smiles. Marco Di Vaio is allright, he's in Hospital but his conditions are good. Dt.Riccardo Agricola confirmed it. The Juventus Medical Staff chief spent the moments after the accident with the blackandwhite striker and now can give good news to everyone: "Marco had a head trauma so he lost his senses. In this situations we have to do specialistic exams, and one of these was made by one of our consulents, Professor Bench. He made a TAC, which resulted negative, and now Di Vaio will stay for 24 hours at Fornaca Hospital and then he'll come out. He'll have to rest few days but then he'll be ok. Thanks to God it was only a big fright".

Di Vaio left the field of play last night after just 14 minutes with the score at 0-0. But strike partner Alex Del Piero sealed the points with a brace in a victory which they dedicated to the unfortunate striker.

"I thank the team for this gesture," added Di Vaio. "I’m happy with the win and I saw the highlights today.

"I’ll now take things calmly but I’ll be back as soon as I am completely fit again. Even if I know that I mustn’t rush things."
