So you'd consider to buy shit player for who we'd pay wages whole season to cover 2 weeks because Amauri is out?

If we do need a striker, Borriello is the last one we should look out for.
I only care if he scores goals for us. He must have worked hard at Genoa to score the amount he did.

Borriello is a type of striker who waits in the box, who's weak in duels, weak in the air and who has poor finishing and terrible positioning.

On the other hand, he IS Italian so yeah, what more do we need to sign a player nowadays...

He's decent in the air, but I agree with the other things you say.

why dont we invest in some young prospect and let him play while Amauri is injured, instead of buying these kind of "lampposts"
We`ve got Libertazzi in our Primavera, who can get a shot, but that`s not the point.

We needed a big-name signing for a striker, now we`ll have 4 players, who can score no more than 12-13 goals per season, if all 4 of them (Amauri, Quag, Iaquinta and Borriello) score 15 goals, we`ll be okay up front, but I seriously doubt it, most likely two of them will pass the 10 goal limit, the rest ot them including Del Piero will finish the season with 7-8, and that is bad for our ambitions...

We couldn't get nothing better than him at this time. Until end of the mercato remaining just two days, not enough of time buy Benzema or other good forward.

Zigic is also decent in the air but yet again he never does anything positive out of it.

Shame on us...after Del Piero - Trezeguet we're going down to Borriello - Quag
