Lol, you guys realize Borriello isnt basically worse then what we have? (in last 2 seasons) I dont want him at all (especially since we have zero creativity). But lets not pretend otherwise.
I'm serious, we will prolly get someone worse then him, and thats pretty sad.

What has he done? decent half a season with a small team? Borriello has had 19 goals with Genoa and 15 goals with Milan last season. You mean to tell me he is inferior to Maxi Lopez who was basically more known for his girllfriends then his football until his "breakthrough" with Catania, is suddenly automatically better?
And what are his attributes, a strong power forward who physically tough to deal with. How is that any better quality to Borriello?
And I seen a far few attackers toy with Giorgio, he is a top CB, but not infallable.
I don't want Maxi Lopez and I don't want Borriello. We should have kept Trez if we are going to replace him with these kind of players. Yay for overrated shit italians once again though, Pepe and Quag isn't enough, I think Borriello is even worse than those 2.
Well since this is probably happening, let's hope it'll just be a season long loan until we get Dzeko next season.. I wouldn't be surprised if he did good and became our topscorer. He is very underrated, but let us not overrate him.

It doesn't really help because my argument seems knee jerk and based on combined one season for Grêmio and Catania, and it could all backfire horribly, but I really think he'd do better for us than Borriello. In the penalty area he's deadly, really imposes himself and makes intelligent runs in front of defenders, and around to find space for himself. Something our current crop don't do now we've sold our best ever foreign striker. And in the air he can be quite good.
I'd like to point out that I'm not a harsh critic of Borriello either, whoever scores goals rather consistently can get praise from me (Pazzini, Di Natale, Gilardino, heck even Barreto).
