Juventus (in the Secco era) basically have had the same squad they did when Juve were promoted back into Serie A. He didn't really do much, Diego was probably his best signing but he always had a Champions League team to attract players. What does Marotta have? A rebuilding team which ended up in 7th place last season, and no CL? Keep Marotta around until we make Champions League then lets see what he can do for us.
Even if I am very disapointed at the moment and I am bashing his efforts too, I have to confess you are right.
He pulled of nice deals (Krasic and Aquilani) but he gave away Diego way to easily. Time will tell,...

Garbage scores goals too, just so you know.
Uhm, what?

And Pato and Pirlo?

Ronaldinho, Seedorf, Pato and Pirlo = Aquilani and Krasic? :shifty:
Firstly, Pato was injured for a big chunk of the season so I wouldn't add him to the list. Pirlo, Ronaldinho, and Seedorf are all excellent players but we have players that can help Boriello and Quagliarella too. Motta is fierce when he's attacking on the wing, he always seems to send in nice crosses. Krasic can do it, Aquilani can do it, damn even Pepe. I'm not saying we have Ronaldinho type players on our team, but we can send in some help to our forwards.

I'm pretty sure Amauri would have scored the same amount of goals as Borrielo if he played as a target man feeded by the players i mentioned before for Milan, maybe more.

And yes, Borriello is pretty much garbage, one of the most limited players i had the (dis)honour to watch, he is not even an improvement over Iaquinta.

But hey, if you're fine with your team playing Quagliarella and Borrielo upfront feeded by Pepe it's your problem not mine.

it seems like a kind of "stop-gap" like players you would only want to have for a season to fill up the team for depth.

when some of these players convince you can buy them, if not its no problem. i think that the board thinks that we will play champions league next season, so they will evaluate which players did well the past season and which did not... and on top of that its more simple to get rid of the players that did not perform if it was only a loan in the first place. if we achieve CL qualification we will easily say "fuck off" to players that did not perform and will have the possibility to get better players in that position (because of our CL status).

i see no problem in taking someone on loan for a position you really need, if you are not convinced he is really good its the best you can do.

so i guess a few of the loans will not be made permanent if we qualify for CL and we will get better players (that only come to us because we play CL) in those positions.
It's a gamble. There's no guarantee you guys make the CL this season and if you do there is no guarantee the players are CL level or Juve will want to pay the agreed fees and hyped up wages and you're back at square one with a striking pool of Amauri, DP, and Yaq.

It's not ideal for a club looking to progress.

I don't care if we sign Boriello or not. I actually more interested about news we sign a defender likes Tasci, Benaloune, and Ziegler.. I hope there is still time to wrap the deal..

you gotta see what the other option is...

getting a B-quality player on loan or buying exactly what ? there is no A-quality player that would join us anyways, so we are left with mediocre quality.

its not like we said "lets rather get pepe on loan instead of özil permanent".

we would not even get a quality player even if we overpaid, because we do try to qualify for the fuckin europa league, so A-quality players are out of our reach ... now its only buy or loan B-quality and than i am more for loan...

you gotta remember how hard it is for us to even sell players of B-quality (poulsen, camo, trez, zebina, grosso), so should we buy B-quality crap players now and think "if we qualify for CL next season we will simply sell those B-quality players!" ? thats not how it works obviously...

Like I said before I am not happy that were getting Boriello, but if it is a loan I'll take him. We have one year to see if he can help benefit this squad or not. Boriello can finish more than Amauri can but we'll see. The season has barely begun so lets take the loan, and see what he can do for us.

Yes, I am fine with Quagliarella on our squad. He's a fine forward.

Pepe plays with his heart, you'll never see him stop running. If he didn't have to play with De Ceglie behind he may be a bit useful upfront and not always having to help out that piece of garbage.

Look at the goal scoring records of our strikers. Minus Del Piero, not 1 of them has put together back to back high goal scoring seasons. Boriello will add to this record.

Borriello:sergio:

What does Marotta want exactly?

He should have kept David,i cant imagine that we will be playing this season with all those loand players who have no passion to win for Juve n i cann't find the flavour of Juve on them.
