Claudio Marchisio expressed his pleasure after Juventus passed another tough test with flying colours. The Bianconeri were kept out for long periods by their spirited opponents, but their persistence eventually paid off through Marco Borriello’s well-taken finish.
The midfielder said: “Today showed that you must never underestimate any team. The Roma game seemed difficult yet we saw them off in half an hour. On the contrary, today’s game should have been more straightforward, at least on paper, and we struggled more. But we’re still first and now we’ll regain our strength to play another game on a synthetic pitch, a type of surface that drains your energy.”
Juventus have enjoyed excellent physical fitness throughout the season as a whole, a product of their meticulous preparations in training.
“It’s thanks to the work we do on a daily basis. Perhaps not all of us accepted it at the start, because we were used to different methods. However, we’ve taken on board how much it pays off and we’re reaping the rewards.”
Marchisio concluded his interview by paying tribute to the goalscorer, embraced by all of his team-mates after registering his first strike in black and white.
“We’re a united group made up of those who want to reverse the two bad seasons we’ve had, along with those who want to demonstrate their value. Marco has always put in a great effort and today he’s given us the three points.”

why is talking to the media all the time? I hate these kind of players.
Because it's part of your role as a player. Any player, really. The media corner you in the locker room, and you're expected as an ambassador of the club and its fans to speak with the public.
