The Juventus winger could be heading to Sicily in the upcoming days as the Bianconeri are considering the offer of Palermo for the Italian player.

Marco Marchionni has been unlucky this season at Juve, with injuries limiting his presence in the first team and not being able to show all of his worth.

Palermo are looking for a right winger to help them in the second part of the season and keep up their top three position in Serie A, and Marchionni could be exactly what the Rosanero need.

For this reason, the Juventus Director of Sports, Alessio Secco, and his colleague Rino Foschi met on Saturday in occasion of the "Trofeo Berlusconi" to discuss this matter.

This transfer could lead to a more complex operation at the end of the season, with central defender Andrea Barzagli being signed by the Bianconeri on their return to Serie A.

That would be a dumb move.

Who will play if Camo or Nedved are injured?

Marchionni is one of our most versatile midfielders.

This deal won´t happen, I hope.

Give Marchionni another six months, at least, to prove himself. He might even prove to be a capable longterm replacement for Nedved, which we otherwise would have to search for elsewhere.

By the way, I thought I read Secco saying 'no' to any possible transfer including Marchionni only a day or two ago.

Palermo need a striker. Deal them Miccoli to get Barzagli, not Marchionni, who is to good of a player to let go without giving him a chance.

Perfect deal:

Olivera+Miccoli+Zalayeta=2 million= Barzagli+Bresciano
Palermo would be a laughing stock of entire Europe if they let this one go through :D.

Whilst it would be ludicrous to let Marchioni go, I wish he could play on a consistent basis. I have seen him grow up as a player, and he is top notch. He is better than Bresciano for sure - He outperformed Australian consistently during their time at Parma.

We really should plan on making use of Marchionni. A loan at the most, even as much as players hate that.

yep

"Marchionni non si muove dalla Juve". Lo ha detto l’agente del giocatore ai microfoni di Sky. Marchionni, secondo radiomercato, veniva dato al Palermo nell’operazione che avrebbe dovuto portare Barzagli a Torino.

He's staying. Maybe in June? I hope not.
