I think people really need to stop and actually think logically about what our midfielders do. There is only so much you can do when you are so far away from the opponent's goal.

The first thing Locatelli does on the pitch is protect the CBs in or around our box. The second thing he has to do is run from side to side. Actually being able to play football is like 3rd or 4th on the list.

All locatelli needs is another capable midfielder to share the possesion and conducting load.

we are asking too much for just one player to set the tempo, he is not pirlo or xavi

he played further up for Mancini, only real difference.

but Allegri has seen the light. Too bad Tuz beat him by months. Better late than never I guess.

Allegri didn't see this or we don't have a good alternative at regista? Look at Arthur tonight, he wasn't good in that role

If only Locatelli could play all three of the midfield positions

Hopefully he can. We could really use another useful midfielder.

Folks here thinking our midfield is shit cause Allegri can't explain how Locatelli is able to shine here. The difference between him and total jackasses like Rabiot, Arthur is stark.

We can't play because there are shitters in the middle. If it was three Locatellis we would be seeing significantly better performances.

Good thing we used the money to buy him instead of Donnarumma

Imagine this team if we had acquired Donnarumma and passed up on Locatelli like many Tuzzers wanted to because hur durr muh generational keeper. :scared:

He is good in attack but we're not allowed to point that out.
when arthur is fine, he plays in front of (or rather in) defense and loca is instantly a mezzala. i thought you'd appreciate that.

i also wonder how would you line up this team when arthur can't barely walk for 30 minutes straight without asking for a ventilator.

Suddenly Arthur can play 90 minutes every match now that there are no other choices.

It's still a "lesser of two evils" scenario, I agree. You need Loca in defence AND also in attack. But Arthur is doing fine enough now.

We must both agree that Loca has been excellent when around the box this year. I don't think I'm out of turn to suggest we could have tried him there sooner. Ideally in a top class midfield I still like him as regista or the 2nd most aggressive B2B.
