That’s just dumb. He held his own in an Italy midfield with players like Verratti, Jorginho and Barella.

I guess it's time to say it, but he is just an above average midfielder, who in a strong Juve would be no more than a squad rotation player when the others are tired.
Either that or Allegri is failing to use him to his true potential or ability.
I'm really hoping I am wrong, but I don't see him improving his game at all.

Kinda like Marchisio when we had Pogba Vidal and Pirlo, but way weaker in almost every aspect.
In my case his honeymoon is over with regards to Juve.

Don't get me wrong he is the best option in an average midfield, but in a good one he would be at most an option between Marchisio and padoin, for a Juve of old.

He wouldn't be a starter in Juve even in the matuidi, Pjanic and khedira(pre end of 2018 season), era.
Or if I am mixing the teams we had, Pogba Marchisio Khedira. There is no way he would start.

this he is very good, just having worse period of time. He is not world class of course anyway, wouldnt start at Inter or Milan, but in our standards he is more than enough.

First of all veratti was injured at first secondly Barella and Jorginho are just average players

You're not entirely wrong, but our midfield is garbage without him. He absolutely has to play for us to have any sort of control in midfield.
